In sub continent, Indian jungles hunting in olden times was very interesting. Main hunter used to stay in a safe place. Whereas other hired servants beat the drums and make noises around the prey to push him towards the hunter side who then easily hunt him.
I don’t know why Increase of shorts reminding me this story

I know one thing this result gave me a lot of confidence and TBH I was expecting 15-20% rise on that day. However I did not mind the new low. 185-205 EBIT if achieved and keep in mind inflation is on the downside. Margin rise/ NA sale/ cosmen buyout any of these will push the price into 120-150 region quickly. Otherwise at the end of 24 which is now 8 month away if guaidance remain the same we will be in the region of £1 to 1.10. If not another year around 60 -80.
A lot of panic here just because of the share price hit 52 weeks Low. imagine if price hit 73p we all would have been discuss the prospect to reach £1 mark soon.
Stay calm , FY 2023 and 1st quarter result is not bad. Soon institutions will start to buy gradually. IMO Wait , if possible buy, have faith.
I think we all miss this.
Fitch Ratings-London-01 February 2024: EMEA passenger transport companies are experiencing a strong post-pandemic recovery in passenger demand, and the financial profiles of Fitch-rated companies are on track to return to pre-pandemic levels in 2024, Fitch Ratings says in a new sector report. Improved passenger demand is supported by driver availability and enhanced services. However, increased revenue may be partially offset by driver recruitment costs and rising wages despite various cost-saving measures implemented by the companies.
Financial structure is the most important determinant of the rating trajectories of EMEA passenger transport businesses. The peers assessed vary in terms of their diversification, contracted revenues, as well as revenue and cost structure, driven by their respective operating segments. All the peers are well positioned in terms of financial flexibility, with strong to adequate liquidity.

Is this sort of incompetence at this level normal? They have a lot of experience behind them and some success stories as well. This is a deliberate act rather than incidental. Even their website is still showing end of March time for results.
I think we need to adopt a different approach at the end of April and put some pressure on the board and cosman. Doesn’t matter if it goes further down. They should have to pay for this game.🧐 I think highlighting this issue on different forums will make them answerable.

Board is incompetent, but I think motive behind this delay is something else rather than their incompetence. They are managing every possible information which can boost the confidence of the investors . I am wondering what can be the motive behind this? Favouring cosman? A genuine miscalculation since Covid year? they want to grab every share because they don’t need small investors anymore possibly a merger with Evelyon and want to keep this private. A few institutional shareholders only.
Isn’t it interesting that we don’t have any figures about revenue, operating profit/Loss despite the fact three months have passed. I’m less concerned about NA sale now. Anyway interest rate has to decline and NA student business is very solid. TBH in this scenario 1.2 b debt doesn’t look abnormal or high especially if you consider the mass of the businesses and overall industry. Why SP is at 67p only? I think it’s an opportunity for next five years.

Why someone would buy this stock? Twice they postponed FY result, downgrade EBIT, didn’t announce anything until last moment, didn’t disclose any material update on NA sale.
Only dark side being shown since last two years. Impairment, dividend cancellation, driver shortage, uk bus is in loss and a long list.
Still they have strong business, margins are improving and interest rates are on the downside. Soon ship will start sailing . Not long now.
Why the rest of 70% be agree with the Cosman offer ? I have the same feelings but if you take them as a part even in the worst case scenario outcome at least will be £2 b. Next four trading days are important to establish the near future SP move. Even if they don’t disclose , I am hoping someone will raise question aboutNA sale.
