PYX Resources: Achieving volume and diversification milestones. Watch the video here.
Thankyou DiveCentre,
I didn't phrase the question very well, but perhaps they ought to have simulated the buoy pull in to the turret more akin to the Lancaster set up...and taken the bouy out to sea and pulled it up into the turret in the AM whilst on sea trial?
One question I have is:
If the hookup operation was successful in Dubai, which we were told it was - why has it proven so difficult WoS?
Sea Conditions?
Personnel?
Temperatures?
Or....
The test wasn't a true enough simulation of the real hookup with attached SURF, shallower water depths etc
Looking at Windy.com, next Saturday looks "ok" for next attempt.
For anyone frustrated by the 3rd attempt, play HUR bingo. 1 point for each. 5 points for full house. Winner gets a recommend.
"MM's have taken SP down too far"
"Why didn't they replace the rope after it snagged"
"Bluewater's fault"
"Dr Trice's fault"
and finally...
"Malcy's fault"
No other vessels following AM though?
Would have expected escort if going back to Cromarty?
I'm surprised nobody has picked up on Dr Trice's hobbies. In one of the recent energy voice articles he was quoted as including Karate, and 'Tabletop strategy games' amongst his hobbies.
Perhaps when squid/camel/16th heir to the throne topics have been exhausted we can muse over the potential applications of his hobbies to the HUR boardroom.
Maybe he actually is Adoubleuk?
Have they ever been seen in the same room?
Also surprised nobody has mentioned the impact of the date of FOIL in relation to CGT - I'm being optimistic but would like the nice SP increase to fit into this tax year to spread it across 2 years allowance.
Nice post Londoner,
I did a similar calc a while ago, the difference between the estimates in production at $60 bbl show a difference of $650,000 per day (cashflow) if you work it back from start of Lancaster production Mar 30 versus Jun 30.
I agree with you DiveCentre, if I was a bookmaker I'd offer 5/1 against RNS tomorrow, and 4/5 an RNS on Monday.
Windy.com has shown Sunday to be quite a bit calmer all day than any day since Christmas.
If anyone likes a scenic picture of shetlands, check out the sky right now :

Hurry,
The sea is much calmer on Sunday, would make sense to hookup then.
Pretty much 24 hours <2m waves.
RNS Monday..
Wulbert,
Yes, we had the "Turbomotive" in the UK, and it had greater thermal efficiency than conventional locos..
AD,
"The only way (in my opinion) the AIS will give us a 'clue' about successful latch-up will be once she's stayed in more or less the right place, coinciding with the buoy, for about 48 hours or so."
Pretty sure they turned AIS off on both of the previous efforts, to thwart us? And then we had loads of comments about giant squids etc?
I'm going to wait for 7am Monday and read my February edtion of Steam Railway in the meantime.
Speaking of which, there is a genuine concern over the future supply of coal in the UK, for heritage railways.
Casapinos,
Re; "I said a while ago(20 nov 18) that I thought that almost of the current SP is based upon the five year value of the Lancaster field"
Are you disagreeing with Edison Research on HUR, or does your "almost all" actually equal their "34.7p/48p" - over 10 yrs?
" We believe the market is fully valuing a 10-year Lancaster EPS phase (34.7p/share net of debt) "
re: "if anyone comes in with a hostile offer of anything over a quid, I'll quite happily take the money and run"
Put me down for TWO quid.
AD,
"Our little flotilla's heading out of Cromarty at 7 knots..."
Yes............at 72°...Have they been having a bit of a smoke?
"In other words, anyone that’s in a managerial role has to be doing real work other than just pushing people or paper around.”
Another Dr Trice quote for the list..
MD01
"Good weather window for WOS Thursday night - Friday evening ??"
I'll go with next Sunday, looks slightly better, waves under 2m for once...
If the weather conditions are good then I'm guessing that *might* reduce the hookup time and make a calm 6 hours better than a slightly less calm 12 hours?
Next Monday is looking perfect, less than 2m swell AND less than 2m waves.
The best weather yet.
Would expect the AM to start chugging northwards sometime on Saturday to get there in time?
RNS next Tuesday? Place bets now.....
2m swell or less, Thursday midday for 24 hours, according to windy.com.
10am - 10pm Thurs, waves 2.2m
From memory, this looks like a better forecast than there was for the previous 2 attempts...
Thursday weather still looking good...
IMO .... FOLO > FOMO
