The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
"I would like to thank Steven and the other non-executive directors for their contribution to the Board over their years of service"
Is that code for something?
Cheers AD,
I'll be out too as soon as I am above water - maybe Dr T will have the last laugh elsewhere.
Over and out.
In some shape or form would this not support the idea that HUR will benefit longer term from this scenario?
As Terry Smith is fond of saying about the tobacco companies he still buys, it gets to the stage where there are no new entrants into the market, and the existing ones have less competitors.
(for tobacco co's read exploration co's).
AD:
"Hopefully including one which specifically targets politicians."
As opposed to them pretending to have it?...(not that I would say that of course...)
AD. [ "The (now departed, we know not why) CFO, Alistair Stobie made reference to the 'lunatic shipwatchers' a couple of years ago. But we're still here, but he isn't." ]
Stobie going and CA increasing holding were only a few days apart.
If I was Inspector Morse I'd be driving my Purple Jag to Bernstein's house/Mansion....
"US shale industry in critical condition as oil price plunges
American producers are set to be some of the biggest losers from low prices"
Never mind eh!
Have there been any recent OGA figures for Lancaster which support any of the "water" theories?
Seem to be people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 0.21 recently....
Just replied to the silly little man's *tweet*
ATB,
LS.
DSPP is an initialism for some sort of financial product. Nuff said.
DSPP built credibility with his calcs/valuations on TLF however his OPINIONS and DR T's FACTS seem to have since diverged...
"I've stopped arguing with them.....They'll see"

Any thoughts on why the SP has been so tight to 30p?
Might this be a large sell, and once those shares have been mopped up then 'normal' volatility will resume?
Not keen on being in a 30 limit. Could cycle faster.
Re: Predators,
From memory, nobody on BBs saw Anglo American coming in for SXX, after the likes of Rio, and BHP had been thrown in to the discussions.
If I remember correctly, nobody had any inkling of the likes of Spirit doing the deal with HUR back along.
"six to twelve months of steady state production before it is able to confirm its reservoir model" the 'clock' is only going to be starting from Jan 2020? - The dodgy valve in the Bluewater Buoy has a lot to answer for...
Expect the unexpected...
AD,
"in case you have a pub quiz or something like that coming up."
Thankyou, alas I'm a borderline sociopath, so the idea of sitting in a pub answering trivia on popular culture is a total anathema to me.
Have been invested in HUR since May 2017, and in accord with a recent quote I heard "You never fully research a Co. until you have some money invested in it" - Been on a mission to soak up oil industry knowledge, on here, books, YouTube Malcy Interviews etc. My only ever involvement in O&G was working for a Co. that produced 1000's of Polymer "Piggyback Riser Clamps" for the Draugen field back in '93.

AD,
"wipethrough device for a rifle barrel"
Thankyou for summary of pigging, some could have taken pages to explain that.
Seem to remember the light API from Lancaster was unlikely to lead to too much clogging of the arteries, and pigging 6-8 weeks was HUR as ever being conservative. All good.
Mr Z,
" Mr. Bernstein probably has superior knowledge"
Wrong.
He probably has ACCESS to superior knowledge.
His fund performance over the last 5 years suggests his own knowledge is below average.
Some questions:
-What has the Hurricane Energy Chairman actually done?
-Does the market think that Hur could end up wasting some/a lot of of the profit from Lancaster EPS on paying for more drills that have *appeared* to have a 1 in 3 hit rate?
£242m EBITDA in 2020 from a co. valued at underr £700m makes no sense.
-Could HUR buy back the CA shares? If so why not do it?!

Dr T talking about how an RNS didn't get much media attention at Christmas!
Prover,
Agree with you, but just to add:
"C A don't help the price by selling into pending results but that's how they make there money"
They're worth less than they were 6 years ago, so maybe you were being a bit kind to say they "make their money"
Bit ironic if they are actually helping to drag down the SP of their biggest holding...
There'll be a load of Tulow PI's deramping HUR trying to get in here at a low price here to recoup some on their losses
