On fundamentals, i see this as a strong buy and we only get shafted if oil dives for a sustained period, even then they'll have access to short term funding whether KO, small Placing or maybe a JV/Farm in. I don't believe that going Private or a cheap takeover with a nice side deal is on the cards, KO & Co make their money from a higher share price, hopefully far higher triggering the management bonus schemes.
Production should be in excess of 2k now with SY awaiting licence. Crude price is a pain but they've benefitted @ $40 gross export prices on 55% (70% possible) of current 1300 bopd for the last few months, costs are low, so operational activities on shallows and hopefully the remedial work continues on the deeps.
£35m m/cap ? MJF P1 /P2 @ 18/27mboe, other assets, drill rigs, boaty, 3AB, Airshagyl/Yelemes deeps, Devonian below BNG. Not going under and there should be a flow of good news and they're probably holding back until the charge dispute has some resolution, hopefully in Caspian's favour , licence awards granted & work commitments deferred.
I'm still holding onto the deeps, just one success to kick it off and that's without partnering. I can hear many of you thinking 'no chance' but after Xm sunk costs, their bullish commentary re the 58km2 sea of oil, the bonus scheme targets, they obviously believe the oil is recoverable but there's ZERO hope factor build into the sp.
Today's price action is a little odd, all the trades are buys, The market was 1.73-1.76 earlier this morning and that was in size, max buy 250k and sell @ 1.1m so well bid, that market stays the same but has moved to 1.765 to sell and 1.766 to buy at same parcel size, that's one tight spread....lol
Considerable money to be made and lost, certainly not without risk but the the largest returns generally come from punts like these.
