No sight of positive negotiations on Ukraine and it looks like Putin will continue to pressure the east to secure all of Donbas, he has to do that to take a positive back to the Russian people. US are the winners here as they have the opportunity to damage Russia and send them back to the Stalin era, the losers being Ukraine. The longer the war continues, the weaker Russia becomes and and US will want that regardless of Ukraine suffering sadly.

Crude prices set to stay well above $100 into the future especially as sanctions pressure building on Russian energy. Casper will benefit considerably from this and increases in oil production should be their main priority, not filling the pockets of the CP & WCP.

The geopolitical position is discounting the stock, probably 25% from pre invasion prices and the big question, will this continue even if there is blockbuster news. Q2 started, Spring is here, Kaz weather is good and no excuses for lack of operational progress.

A8 excitement pre 2021 year end and much that only 120 bopd from fist interval, we all were hoping that they were taking it slow and cleaning it up to avoid the nmistakes of the past. Sadly, the next announcement was a Carverspeak special, zippo detail, just 100bopd and looking to perforate 2 more intervals before March month end. Didn't exactly inspire with confidence and hoping it's not another feck up. The oil is there in abundance but can Casper deliver the goods solo or are they going to involve a partner a la 3AB, somebody who knows how to deal at these depths where heat and pressure are extreme.

Announcement next week Clive, regardless of the quality of news, please include the detail as without it, you're statement re attracting new investment is absolutely utter tosh.

The last detailed update over 3 months ago but since then back to mushroom mode. Debt conversion done, oil prices in March averaging over 50% more than Dec when Clive stated that financial position strengthening significantly so no excuses not to see considerable operational progress made.

152 was to be next HD at MJF THEN 142 whilst redrilling all the other wells. SY HD too plus 2 perfs on A8 deep. A7 spud in Dec ? followed by 802 in early 2022.

No excuses for considerable operational progress with cash to do it so let’s see what surprises are in store in the next episode of Carverspeak !!

The Divis to concern me as does any mention of share buy backs. Casper is a minnow currently and they’re not exactly throwing off loads of cash yet. Corporates with excess cash after all operational requirements covered, together with an undervalued stock valuation, yep all day long but Casper ??

Too early to be thinking about Divis and SBBs. They have an operational mountain to climb and not enough cash to do what they could do if they wanted to really ramp it up.

Next 3 months will tell us all what we need to know.

Never been in such a strong position financially and operationally. Horizontal strategy working on shallows and cash, rigs and pipes to be far more productive than any other time historically but could always do with some more :) RNS next week ? hopefully that's a yes and it's a clear and comprehensive update on all fronts.

Meanwhile, Crude trading @ $107, averaging over $110 for Jan and Casper receiving gross revenues of $6m+ based on that average @ 2400 bopd. FY accounts in May will show the good news story from Q3 2021 and forward looking statement should highlight the improvement in H1 2022. Financials transformed and making money hence the divis but let's see the good news that enables them to start adding to the ' Transition To Profit' story via an aggressive PR campaign.

Yesterday buying probably expecting news soon but as we know, that’s never guaranteed with Casper. They know oil price is high and every day is a good day for them so let’s make it better by resourcing up and cracking on. Q2 is a defining qtr as there is no reason for them not to issue loads of positive news re divi . Never been like this before with the means to push on, not to do so with gusto will bring another set of questions.

CC, not against Divis just the timing of them. Paying them is a huge drain on cash whereas that dough needs to be spent on everything operational. Running Divis alongside operational activity so a win/win, yep I buy that but not yet. Spend every penny on more kit to exploit the asset base. They need more rigs and regularly play the musical pipes card so buy some more to avoid disruption and delay.

More successful production activity, sp reacts, more cash leading to more operational activity, more cash. Pay bigger Divis and rinse and repeat but timing is cart before the horse unless they’ve flogged the barge and have additional funds.

All about timing for me.

Invest in Casper as a divi stock, let me think about that, err, no thanks !!!! Institutions, funds investing, no chance, not unless m/cap increases considerably and Putin expires. Divis associated with stable stocks, this certainly isn’t and to think otherwise, smoking dope. Their comms are shocking and no institution going to go anywhere near it.

Get on with the digging holes and get the PR engine into gear.

There is likely to be a peace settlement but i believe it will be at the cost to the Ukrainians. Putin wanted the Donbas as a minimum which includes Mariupol on the Black Sea. There will be a fixed referendum and it will be annexed as was Crimea. 58% of the inhabitants in Donetsk and Luhansk are ethnic Ukrainians, c 38% Russian but that won't matter a jot. Putin has miscalculated here as he was looking for the Blitzkrieg approach but didn't expect the fierce Ukrainian resistance aided by Nato. If the end game is Donbas and neutrality, then sanctions will continue and Nato will strengthen presence in all nations on Russia's borders. He has started the journey of less energy dependence on Europe which will ultimately lead to his demise or escalation to a place that the world doesn't want to contemplate. If he's allowed to use the 'N' threat on every invasion then Moldova, Poland and the Baltic States are all up for grabs but then that would be catastrophic for the world.

The west need to wean themselves away from Russian exports and damage their economy but it will probably force stronger relationships with China, India, ****stan etc who will be larger trade partners especially for energy. All the west can do is stick to the painful economic plan and Germany the main energy user, need to accelerate their plans to other energy sources and solutions.

Impossible to know what’s going on when comms are vague. Spending money at SY is good news but would be good to understand what current flow rates are following 2 year shut in. Meant to be doing their first horizontal targeting the new structure and using that approach on existing wells but as usual we’re in mushroom mode.

Yep, huge disconnect from fundamentals to current sp and we know what’s needed, more good news and targeted PR to attract new players as current team are spent out. Geopolitics are also a drag and we’ll sooon find out whether a hugely undervalued stock will react positively to right news or not.

Qtrly update due next week so let’s hope it’s comprehensive. They’re generating loads of cash and as far as I can see, very little if it is going on operational activity, let’s hope that’s incorrect.

I still believe that they’ve done a barge deal and that’s where the divi cash is coming from but yet again, in the dark after 7 months following a statement that they were close to a deal.

To add. Is the SY production in the latest 2396bopd figure ? i don't believe so 300 bod to add maybe ? Shut in for 2 years so i'm sure that's why they need de-emulsification. Good to see pipelines being laid from existing wells so hopefully getting ready for some extra volume.

Thanks DM. $165 ON water separation and pipeline on South Yelemes. Copied extract from SY on website but as usual it's miles out of date with the caveat, for latest info see ops updates. Hopefully operational results will drive PR campaign inc a new website or an up to date one at least.

'SOUTH YELEMES STRUCTURE
Exploration of the South Yelemes Structure began during the Soviet Era. Caspian Sunrise has re-entered one former Soviet era well, (well 54), and drilled a further 3 wells (805, 806, 807) on the structure. Recently Well 54 was perforated across an interval from 1,961 to 1,971 meters and from which it is producing at the rate of 30 bond. The aggregate production from the others wells on the structure is in excess of 150 bopd.

NEW STRUCTURE
In April 2017, we drilled Well 808 to a depth of 3,070 meters to assess whether a new structure similar to the MJF structure existed. The results of limited testing were inconclusive indicating oil bearing intervals with high water saturation.

Recent re-evaluation of the wireline and mudlog data suggests additional untested potential within two intervals shallower in the well. We have now re-completed the bottom of the well to isolate the water and are set to reperforate the well at intervals between 2,033.5 meters to 2,035.5 meters and between 2,250 meters and 2,253 meters.

Don’t believe that’s the plan and hopefully we see the cash going on considerable operational activity. A7 should be well advanced by now and 802 spudded ? A8 additional intervals tested, 142 result and plan for Q2 ?

Are they conserving cash to pay 2 x divis pa ? All assumption but if they wanted to pay 2 x 0.5p Divis, that would eat up $30m of cash whereas that's probably their current net cash generated this year ! They need to make profit to generate divis, the more profit the likely better %yield per divi. We're going to know this quarter what the game is as $30m or whatever the cash sum is, it needs to be spent on drilling loads of holes and building production, surely that should be the order of events and divis to follow when sp 20p ;)

If it was my company, i'd be buying rigs, pipes, more territory etc whilst the cash is coming in. Drill the bleedin 15 remaining wells on MJF this year, do the horizontals on SY existing and new structure. Get A8 and A7 out of the way in H1 and then decide whether they're worth spending anymore money on, if not, buy back 15% stake in 3AB and drill it. Whilst doing that buy some more acreage if BNG deeps aren't the company makers we thought they were and sell them to somebody who can make the difference and retain a stake.

I can't get my head around the lack of operational activity on the shallows when they know every hole is likely to generate $20-25m revenue pa. All a little odd to me and if we're not going hell for leather this qtr pre a divi payment then i would find that even stranger. Not long to find out either way.

Spring is here, weather picking up, especially in the Atyrau region of Kaz, over 20 degrees forecast this week whereas ole Blighty expecting snow...lol. N Caspian should be free of ice and great for the CE if it was chartered ??

Casper have the cash to press ahead with their operational schedule so looking forward to seeing the next update, no more 'mushroom' specials and Carverspeak. They should be acquiring more rigs, pipes etc and really accelerating the shallows, not to do that makes no sense to me with crude @ current prices. They could be drilling 2 or 3 shallows simultaneously and regular news flow with targeted PR gets us on the investor radar. Not to ramp up operations makes zippo sense to me so hopefully we get to see the accelerated asset exploitation this in Q2.
