If US & EU ban Russian oil, that is the 'nuclear sanction' that cripples their economy. As per the extract from Bank America below, the supply could become critical especially if Iran talks stalled, prices of Crude could go crazy. Where does that leave Kaz and it's position ? The world will want it's oil and pay a premium for it. Putin would try and put pressure on but impossible when so many external investors involved including China. I really do believe that stopping Russian oil is the answer as it absolutely halts the Russian military option and i'm sure our China doesn't want to see any nuclear threat escalation as their alleged friendly neighbour.

Casper's 2500 bopd may not be insignificant and they should be accelerating operations now to build that number and take advantage of the market crisis.

Crude spiked to $137 late last night, unbelievable.

Can't disagree there aren't bargains and less risky but not the multi bagging potential with the right news. Kaz has it's own challenges and it's economic policy not foreign policy that they're concerned about. Kaz will want all OE companies to perform as tax revenues will be critical to keep the government coffers topped up.

Even if Caspian couldn't sell their oil for a few months, they could carry on easily as their cash position should be really strong and i'm sure the leader isn't letting go of 1bn shares ! Let's see if he still believes that $6.2m conversion is a good thing to do and whether they've got some positive news to share.

Interesting article above. 2 years old but shows Russian meddling/control of the energy market and we’ve allowed him to weaponise it. Also shows the Chinese involvement and you can see that Kaz oil will take other routes if CPC oil (Caspian Pipeline Consortium) is mixed with Russian grades going out of Novorossysk . Chinese, India, ****stan will benefit as oil is redirected to other markets.

Kaz will continue to sell oil, that’s manageable, what isn’t is our Putin and the next stage of the game. He’s already stating that sanctions are akin to an act of war but committing Genocide in Ukraine isn’t ? Can’t continue and some tough decisions to be made re cutting off energy exports, painful but necessary .

I spoke to the team in Almaty yesterday and to date we have not experienced any issues.

I can't see why any sanctions would be placed on Kazakhstan as it is an entirely separate country.

In the event there are problems with exporting oil via the Russian pipes we would look to sell the oil elsewhere.

PIs are the only players and I’m sure leverage playing it’s part as other stocks getting ravaged. It was a red day on the markets even oil. Shel down from 2050, BP almost 20% off from the recent £4. EXY. RR, loads of stocks bashed.

Binary play ? I believe the only binary play is the lunatic Putin but hey, we all lose if he goes wrong !!

KO converts and more production to follow, more cash building but the sp as with most stocks is reliant on the geopolitical situation settling down.

I had a response from clive stating that oil going through Russian pipes and being sold, if it became an issue, they will look at other routes. He did not state that they were not able to sell oil , that would have to be communicated to the market as was the production halt from the recent Kaz riots.

Get your shares converted KO and get some positive news out.

Sadly, nobody knows . Allegedly the plant is built to withstand aeroplane crashes but yes, what is he doing. He’d have killed all his troops if it had been compromised so obviously not his plan. He’d have blamed it on Ukrainian sabotage anyway.

God knows how much carnage he’s going to cause in Kyiv, so sad. I still can’t believe it .

Tenge devalued by 17.5% and Kaz govt increasing tax structure to mineral miners, crypto myners and probably oil too, especially the bigger boys i suspect.

Another red day on the market. A few more RR and EZY for me and put then away. Looks like we're going to have to see the KO deal before next news and hopefully its positive enough to break this out of this range and get it on investor radars.

I thought he had 34m forever ? surely he’d have sold out when the sp was far higher and why sell oout now when re-rate expected ?

Let’s get KO sorted and see what they have . If they want the sp up, they wouldn’t want to see a large seller so surely that would be sorted ie taking Dosbol’s shares at a bargain price whereas impossible to buy that volume in the market. Doesn’t make sense to me ?

JD, director sale amid RNS ? as we both know, history has proved otherwise with Kairat not disclosing his disposal and he was the FD ! Regardless of the truth, we need to get KO conversion sorted and see the news that justifies his call to load up and Al Marri decision to join the party.

It’s like night and day. The sp was trading between 10 & 14p in 2018/19 and we’re now 4p and turnover is probably 6x at this stage with more to come. Company is now very profitable, KO will be fully loaded as of next week and company is going on the divi journey to attract new investors. On paper it makes no sense, this should be double figures now but regardless of how many times we highlight it, geopolitical tensions and probably debt conversion is holding it back. Let’s see what happens this month.

One benefit, many peeps like me could have a chunk sitting outside ISAs so keep it down here til April.

I sent a couple of notes last week suggesting the same. Sent another yesterday as I was reading that some Kaz oil being mixed with Russian grades and sone oil traders were shunning it, even at a discount. CC stated that their oil goes through Russian pipes but no disruption at this juncture and they would sell through other routes if it became an issue.

I agree that an RNS would help but they obviously don’t believe it’s needed.

Jacks Dad, I don’t get the keeping the price down malarkey. They sanctioned that broker note that was obviously intended to show that we are undervalued and to attract more buyers. Maybe KO is short of a few bob and wanted to sell a few in the 4p range ;)

PIs trade this, we dictate sp trajectory and it looks like we’re all loaded up. Geopolitical situation keeping sp down and a complete disconnect between fundamentals and sp. Undervalued and next steps to re -rate will need positive news and some good PR to attract new buyers.

KO debt/equity swap and Dubai interest were key buy signals and obviously believe that Casper stock is worth investing in at this level.

Oil over $117, shows how unhapppy the situation is in Ukraine but great for Caspian.

Was hoping to see a pre OGM RNS but looks like we’re waiting another week.

I did have a reply to my note to CC re oil sales disruption and possibility of sanctions. He spoke to Almaty office yesterday and no disruption through Russian pipes but if there was they’d sell the oil elsewhere.

He also thought that sanctions were very unlikely as Kaz a separate country but I suppose that depends on Kaz keeping their position and not being forced by our Rasputin up north.

Meanwhile Casper fill their coffers.
