Forest - just taken a look at my local cineworld and can confirm Milton Keynes is all but completely booked, all day, every film…….what a great idea / money spinner, I hope they have a massive amount of popcorn etc ready to make the most of it!!!!

My guess is that this will start big and drop off quickly, the reason I say this is that the trailer makes the film look all style and no substance…..M forecast is £500m.

Oh ahhhh……delaying this payment is the easiest way for cineworld to lay its hands on millions without effecting free cash flow, it’s just a feeling but my gut says it’s something to do with CP. it’s the only reason that makes sense to me. If it’s for any other reason I will have cause for concern given what we have been told re cash flow.

Like I say just a gut feeling, hope I’m right.

So people are reading weakness as a result of the RNS, Cineworld had all the cash required to pay this secured/ring fenced and kept in escrow (from memory) so that makes me question why would the want to delay payment? Is it because we are short on cash? I doubt it, we had a cash positive Q4 2021 & have access to a £250m RCF……so why would cineworld need that kind of cash? That’s my question. I mentioned my hope below and nothing I’ve read has changed my opinion. Hope I’m right.

Good morning Mountainous, if the EU don’t stand up to Russia now then they are done imo, a massive vassle state addicted to that sweet sweet gas.

I find the prospect of war repulsive.

I hope beyond all hope that somehow war can be avoided, the only people that will die will be the average innocent population and the average innocent people in Russia will suffer the effects of any sanctions.

Make no mistake this move is a vanity play based on nostalgia, the Ukrainian public recently voted in a centrist president by a landslide, he isn’t a Russian puppet and wants a strong independent Ukraine, if they succeed how many other regions will try to claim independence.

Puts our troubles here into perspective.

HNS, it’s definitely appreciated….there’s a lot of FUD being thrown around with no supporting data, it’s depressing. Been doing a bit of investigation into the bookings for uncharted, it looks like it’s doing better than anything since Spider-Man, how well won’t know for a bit. I’m liking that we are nearing the end of the “big” film drought, I can’t wait for the board to share good positive numbers and see our sp heal itself……some time soon with a bit of luck.

There is a world guys where we settle out of court with plex, we pay the regal shareholders, win the court case with the insurers and PROFIT from it…..is it this one?!? Hope so.

Hope the positive sp movements continue, no need to get too excited at the moment we have suffered a sustained drop so some way to get back to a fair value imo

HNS - picking up on the lack of product point, I completely agree, further to that I haven’t seen much by way of promotion for the coming films, didn’t see anything for moonfall (could have helped) as yet haven’t seen much for uncharted etc. I’d like to see the studios backing their own product, would help both parties.
