I saw Spider-Man yesterday @ midday and it was 70% full….foyer was very busy, everyone spending money on snacks. We spent £23 pp, saw families spending £50+…..was good to see. I expect Q4 2021 to be equal to 2019!!!

As you’ll all remember I have said several times that Omicron will be the end of the pandemic, likely by the end of January. I feel we are seeing the final part of that materialising now in the form of a slow synchronisation of the scientific facts. Sadly there is a lag in the interpretation and reporting of said facts.
Below are a few examples of what I mean.

Both of these reports appear to be reporting the same fact, but in completely different ways, the Mail could be seen as an optimistic / positive interpretation and the BBC report could be seen as pessimistic / negative interpretation.

For me the good news is that the facts are being reported by most now and anyone with a brain can interpret them for themselves, let’s not forget there’s a lot of money being made off of FUD / restrictions and there’s an awful lot of money “betting” on an optimistic immediate future, with I suspect even more in the sidelines ready for deployment when certainty is established.

I see a lot of use of words like “could”, “if this”, “if that”, “what about” etc it’s my thinking and expectation that in the next two weeks the facts will be speaking so loudly that the MSM FUD message will begin to be minimised and a generally optimistic sentiment be allowed to flourish.

This isn’t a guess it’s based on the SA experience, their cases have fallen off of a cliff, with hospitalisation and death never spiking above a low level.

We are 1-2 weeks behind SA and the USA is 1-2 behind the UK. Very very soon I feel most markets and most of not all depressed sectors & stocks will rally, it will be spectacular.

Agreed, Wellington. We watched as did many this case pretty much from start to end and I didn’t detect a “gotcha” moment for cineplex, quite the opposite. For the judge to award the list synergies but nothing else is bizarre to me, like a consolation prize….undeserved, inapplicable, wrong…..but have this anyway. I hope Mooky tells them to bring a case in the uk, clearly the Canadian system is nonsense.

Now this news has broken, how do we think the government will game this out going forward , I’d love it if they came out tomorrow and said we now have the data, everything is going to be fine, get in with your lives and enjoy!!!!

They won’t of course, so how do we think they will play things? How will the media play it ? Especially as they went full doom on Monday….how will the Welsh and Scottish governments react? They’ve make idiots of themselves imo having gone a lot further a lot quicker.

LPD - that’s kinda what I’m thinking, a combination of the plan B restrictions, schools being in holiday and the general population behaving more cautiously have slowed the spread, but spread it has and as you have said we are plateauing now and will I hope see a sharp reduction soon, the same pattern as seen in SA. I really hope the general sentimental message from government and the scientific community switch’s from doom to optimism very soon, as the truth will out whether they like it or not and the bogus manipulation of the public psyche HAS to stop…….
