Look when Samantha Stuart moved across to Novacyt, they have planned this from before Christmas , they didn't just wait until the last minute to ignore IVDR , the writing must have been on the wall for months. Staff must have known once all tests weren't being validated .
It is the behaviour of a company in T/O talks , buyers often request we want A & B , not C and will pay retainers if D E and F remain in situ. I don't think that is what is happening here though. I think we will see some M& A fairly soon , it is the only sensible option. Imo

Nobody has ripped off the public purse , Novacyt supplied tests that have been used globally , for reasons unknown to us the DHSC and Novacyt are in dispute. They didn't fail to supply and have kept the money , they didn't send out smarties instead of covid tests. Your emotive language is deliberate and designed to instil fear.
The company has adequate funds to make an acquisition and a superb R and D team. Now whether Allmond can steer the ship is another matter entirely.

Huey , 14 reviews on glassdoor over 250 staff , 50 % of the reviews positive , you post your hypothesis as though fact and omit IMO. Not correct re Microgen, In merging the two lots of duplicated roles and in this case the 'winner takes it all' if duplication , inevitable comparisons will occur and some staff will be offered redundancies.

Nobody needed to predict redundancies, the upscaling to facilitate covid testing was huge. Furthermore the company told us they were closing Microgen and streamlining. It is a fact
that they will have kept some Microgen staff , several were moved to posts within Novacyt months ago and they will ask for voluntary redundancies and then additionally first in first out or in some instances those they don't think are performing as expected. I am not for one moment saying this gentlemen fits into the latter category. I guess staff were hard to acquire during the pandemic and people sought permanent roles , Novacyt would have been better served in certain sectors within the company paying higher wages and contracting staff. Imo

I went onto Glassdoor last night and read the 14 posts , a mixture of positive and negative.
Are the positive or negative posts true , I have no idea, some must be in part factually correct as Novacyt respond. However as Novacyt employed over 230 staff throughout the Covid period and we have 14 reviews in total , as previously mentioned a mixture of slating and praising , I hardly think it is a showstopper as to how well or poorly the company are doing. Now regarding being excellent for recruitment that is another story , I was unaware of all the functions and how much info / education , work experience you could detail.
Novacyts portfolio is huge , that cannot be disputed. How many tests they sell is another matter entirely.
They have obviously streamlined considerably, hence the merging of what tests from Microgen they wanted to retain and closing that business down.
Fewer tests but more that sell well is the name of the game.
Anyone worked out what the new LFT'S are yet ? DYOR :)

Pubs everywhere here but none within staggering distance or tinkling , down a lane off a lane , up a hill ! Only thing I see venturing into the gardens are escapees ( sheep)or deer. The only vehicles I see down this lane are when once a year there is a graveside mass for all the deceased and cars appear from everywhere and one is housebound for a few hours. Church about 1km away. Bar that just a few locals normally on tractors. But only four miles from Town.
