Harchris , I think that the company are well aware that M& A is a priority . They have obviously not proceeded to date because they believed the the dispute could be settled without going to court. That has now changed and the company know this could drag on. This actually means that they can utilise
that cash for an extended period regardless of outcome. Changing circumstances require a change in strategy. It was always their intention to conduct further M&A and that now must be a priority. We understand that , I'm in no doubt they do too. So transformative news could land at any moment. The board is full of emotive rhetoric , Allmond is a relatively young man and his career is dependent to a large degree on his performance. I don't know who voted for salary rises but they did , it is history. The business decision re Microgen and Lab21 is simply that , a business decision , a mixture of closing the companies to consolidate under one name and without doubt rebranding the better sellers under the new name. It won't be all Microgen staff out , it will be a business decision to reduce costs and the staff leaving will be a mixture of voluntary redundancies and selected staff across the whole company. This is the natural ebb and flow of many businesses. During the peak of covid many staff were hired and with the greatest of respect intended perhaps upon occasion the shortage of the most suitable available candidates meant some hires have proven to be no longer required for a plethora of reasons. Again supply and demand and not unusual. Many who have run their own companies have experienced this , at the height of the pandemic uni students were being pulled to help conduct PCR tests in the lighthouse labs, there was a severe shortfall of scientists blah.
What the company do next is crucial , but they have a massive advantage over many with the cash pile they are sitting on. Without looking at numerous other aim companies and producing stats to compare , I have no idea if the directors are overpaid / underpaid . Without this info ranting about their wages is meaningless.
The SP is on it's knees but I still believe the company has great potential and could rise again quickly. If I didn't
I'd feck off and stick my money somewhere I believe it would increase. As ever imo .
