RE: Is this article a load of rubbish ?6 May 2023 01:23
I would want to see numbers for all alternatives, without them we are flying blind. How much will IM cost to develop , how much money will we make p.a after the facility is up and running. How long would it take to pay off the development costs. Those who attended the investor meet and were asked what their preference would be , did you have that information made available to you ? Without it , how can one begin to decide which option , sell outright , JV and retain 25 % or go it alone , Is the best alternative . Dependent on estimated earnings , the debt incurred to develop the caverns could pale into insignificance very quickly.
First we need the JR result and then we need a lot more information. I do have a concern with too many fingers in too many pies.
JW sells it as spreading the risk. We are going to have one of the most technologically advanced shipyards in the UK and could well be inundated with work , ships , cruise business and renewables.
A question , not a deramp, do we have the bandwidth and/or expertise to undertake such a project.
With regards to stated values of IM , I would want to see a formal valuation , something more then JW saying folks sniffing around and it could be worth xx now and xxx after a positive JR.
