Yes troubled craft , failed fire checks in the past, one article I read said technical faults registering on the Friday , the 'unfortunate event ' occurred Sat pm. Furthermore two separate bodies checked the vessel prior to safety certification. I'm really restricted time wise today so any other researchers should be able to locate the above if so desired.

Been digging round inf on the Pentalina , SD , it was in Belast for an extended period agreed , however it would appear that it was in dry dock for a much shorter period. Makes for interesting reading especially comments about Pentalina's owners. I suspect Lynch will be all over this.
