Yes but if you hold shares for years , I've held one f0r over 15 , the mcap is the only thing to follow. Take some of the big American banks as an example,, they have reduced my holding tenfold but increasesd the value of each individual share and numerous other things over the years. Not altered the value of my holding,, but makes watching the sp totally irrelevant. Also Mcap comes into play when looking at the big boys investing and as to where the company can trade , 250 , 100 etc
