Quick nostalgic moment....

20 years ago this month RKH Floated on the AIM and I bought my first shares. And, from memory I think the float price was 45p which is precisely where we currently are today at this moment!

I see where you are coming from but I think its a weak Head n Shoulders indicator. Looking at various cuts of the chart for the last few months there have been weak signals for double tops, double bottoms etc. All important but I use these visual indicators less then maybe others do (rightly or wrongly). My focus is very much more towards to the sequencing and longer trending aspects, patterns in numbers and influences and value of those influences and how that all can affect momentum. I could also harp back to iii days and DES with my Rambles on the technicals and principles of Elastic bands, Nails, Rulers and pushing cars but I'll spare everyone that misery!!!

If I may add my thoughts, in brief ( No Ramble I promise!). We are quite clearly in a trading range of 33p to 43p which is proving quite a powerful trading range. (Masonic 33p is only 1 away from 34p on the Fibonacci sequence and 43p is almost mid point to the 55p which is the next in the sequence!)

For a good part of last year 13p or thereabouts was the sequence level. Early December saw two early attacks at the next sequence level of 21p before entering the current trading band.

Currently we are waiting on ‘expected’ news. FID, OM, Navitas Drilling update etc. Each on its own carry a value but not enough to push the price on its own however, in unison, this does give the stock momentum which is what moved the price up in December and into this year. My assumption is that until we hear news on at least one of the’expected news items’ the price is going to stick in its current banding.

Just my brief thoughts to add to the mix, hope it provides some oxygen!

Totally agree LTT, especially your last point relating to the 10p aspect for Warrants etc. Their discount to closing price on a stock like this is nothing so upside must be perceived to be in the attaching warrants. So... you know what LTT.... I'm going to have a little initial tickle with these. Currently, I have plenty of Rockhopper so have now dipping my toe in the south basin too with an initial very token 25,000 at 5.04p and with an 18 month (from grant) price target of >10p! Depending on how it goes on/after 20th March I may then purchase a more exciting amount!

A very good evening to each and all.

I just wanted to add my congratulations to Spacehoppa and indeed the runner ups - Passive and Blue Defender.

December has been an exciting month with the SP finding a new level around the 25p mark. Between here and FID that should hopefully double and I for one will be holding fast with my RKH Shares.

So for now, the fires lit, I have my beautiful wife, a lovely bottle of Chateau Neuf and my RKH shares, life's good.

Hello Norseman,

Thanks and likewise. I think you are probably pretty much on the money re price points. 20p is very much a key level although I think we could probably put an additional resistance point in at around the 18.5p level. Depending on any Broker rec updates I would say the next levels would actually be close to the 25p mark with a track then up to 33p and 40p with FID. I think there is an additional factor worth noting which relates to our current governments apparent 'back turning' on the North sea. The Falklands may therefore stand out just that little bit more which is a positive. Negative side is that I am sure Argentina will have their bit to say and I also hope that Kier and Co don't try to throw any spanners in the works (a skill they seem to have got down to a fine art already in other areas of the economy and business!). I've seen mention regarding the mkt cap of oil and whether this opens up the door to more investments and I would agree that it does although IMHO anything below probably 250M Mkt Cap is only going to be small doors however, FID onwards could be very interesting indeed! It will be interesting to see where we close at tomorrow.

Thanks Norseman, yes I’ve been very much a watcher rather than a poster since the iii days. Glad I’m not working out of Russia anymore too! Been reading some great posts over the years here on LSE and I’m sensing things could be about to power up. Call it gut feeling!!!

Afternoon Ladies n Gents

Firstly a thank you to those posting their thoughts and views, my comfort area is historically the oil sector however..... 11% Yield and hopefully interest rate cut coming in August and thereafter has finally tempted me to add this to my ISA yesterday at 487p and targeting a 12 month price of 540p a share.

Hi Again Dezzatheflash, Re the warrants, that boat has already sailed. The RNS from 15th June will explain all but the open offer has come and gone and the warrants applied specifically to that open offer so unless you took part in the open offer and have warrants showing on your account you wouldn't now be able to get them.
