Laudable sentiment but it's unlikely to happen unfortunately. It's part of a trolls or bashers remit to destroy on topic speech and if possible to dissuade reasoned discussion. I have found (though each to their own obviously) the best option is to just block them and their alter ego's. The board becomes a much nicer place after that. Lots of useful on topic chat from knowledgeable posters.

What you say is both very true and thought provoking in the deepest of ways. Having seen the news about the 13 Ukrainian soldiers massacred on "Snake Island", it shows a deep love of country and slightly naïve honour which has in most places passed many years ago. I do though think that they would now be best to put down their weapons, live to fight another day though by different means. As with East Germany, Ukraine will have it's freedom, and her children will be safe. In the UK, a country where some are not even willing to wear a mask to potentially protect other citizens, the people of Ukraine are the most wonderful of examples to the whole world.

What is truly pathetic is an adult who for reasons best known to themselves defends illegal or undemocratic actions because the others do it . Until people don't just heard like follow a political dogma and demand better standards from their representatives it will be forever thus. I don't "Hate" trump, that anyone could not see the destructive, divisive and near totally chaos creating nature of the man is illuminating. You seem to be confusing the presentation of evidence in a bipartisan system where it's being hidden is the aim with if or not that evidence exists. As with the UK's russ1a report which has also been sidelined/canned for the same reasons. On the contrary, your reluctance to see or update yourself on the facts (the one I presented was one of 22) of these cases shows that you don't for some reason like an inconvenient truth. Even don jr is recorded as saying that dump & co get's all the money it wants from russ1a. Is it normal for a president to have 15 or so private phone calls with NO American in the room, and only the russ1an ambassador (the honest broker!) lavrov present? One things for sure, dump is now at this moment praising put1n and his actions, if he were still in power this would have already happened.

Now that I agree with. But it's very different from your earlier statement.
put1n and ch1na has/is showing how they do not and will not play by the same rules as the west. How a democratic western leader hopes in four or five years hopes to counter the actions of others in power for decades is unclear and difficult enough. That western leaders and representatives can be so easily bribed and influenced (when an Eastern traitor would simply get a bullet through the skull) is the problem to be handled at the moment. We all benefit from our western systems, far from perfect but also less frightening in the middle of the night.
The free world has just been given a wake up call, maybe just to dose off again and be very late to the most important party of this century.

Until this post I thought that you were quite clever. You actually saying that dump kept put1n in check? Really! The Muller report, as far as it went showed that there was collusion. This is just one quote from the report. As printed in Time..

What the answer to the present question is, I don't know, how does one argue with a nuke equipped tyrant who is probably OK with using them (on a small scale anyway)? The West and the East are parting ways, that's for sure, how far and it's eventual effects, is anybody's guess as it seems to be up to a handful of individuals.

Covid policy was never about stoping it, that's what you trolls put out as the message. It was to flattern the curve of infection, to allow services to cope and hence reduce the death toll, simple as that. It also allowed time for the development of suitable methods of treatment. However easy or self serving it is to look at an account and see the effect it is having for all (or most) of us, it may also be a moment to consider the plight of those involved in this hell. Being real for a moment, one takes into account the share price history/future. No point cheering a dividend of 5% if the shares drop by 10%. (unless one never sells I suppose). As others have said, once government holding less than 50% this will start to move up in my view.

The aims of trolls are many, some may just be disgruntled or sad or simply nasty , others though have longer term reasoned motives. To either effect a company stock by pumping or bashing, this does have an effect, (why else have review sites for builders !) consider the pumping of Crypto, what else after all is driving it's rise? Another motive is to squash and deter valid helpful input from what are very useful sources to all interested investors/potential investors.
To the little guys like us buying 'X' K shares once a month, it may not seem important, but how about if one has a planned buys or sells of 10M shares? what difference does 1p have? £100,000! for the cost of a trolls week's work, seems like a bargain to me. Then multiply that be it up or down two or three times a month, do that across only a dozen companies. It starts to become big money. Think about that. Not possible you say? Look up the LIBOR scandal this is the tip of the iceberg.

For good or ill, if trump had been reelected the takeover of the Ukraine would have already happened in my view. Like him or loath him put1n, as any dictator, has the luxury of being able to plan and enact policies over the long term without fear of interruption, and he has largely done this. Democracies such as ours will always suffer the 'flip flopping' of ideologies, and unity of purpose, even NATO seems rudderless, and put1n is learning from this. In this present case, I would say that the longer this 'stalemate' goes on, the less likely an invasion will take place, difficult now to show provocation.
The next thirty years will be 'interesting' like none of recent times, the continued rise of China and her possible expansion, some may say the fall of America, and relative isolation and mild indignance of Europe. How the U.S and other countries will cope mentally with that, is I think starting to show itself unfortunately. Sobering. Apologies for being off topic.

Morning all!
Well no invasion so far it seems, personally I think President Putin has achieved much of what he was after, world focus on his concerns and the drawing of a very clear 'red line' which if it were crossed he may, (in his mind at least) be said to have some form of excuse for military action.
Had a quick look around the traded Eastern/Asian airlines and there seem to have been rises of between 1% and 4% in stock prices with an average I would say of 2.5% or so. Who knows how this will translate to IAG, but it seems a good omen to me. Certainly can't see many negatives at the moment.
