Interesting (to me anyway), looking at the vessel finder you can see how the canal works. There seem to be 'one way at a time' stretches (bit like when they repair holes on the appalling Shropshire roads) and duel carriageway bits. Plus the Great bitter lakes where they can all pass each other. She's in the lakes now, but there is a lengthy one way final stretch to Port Said still to navigate which I guess may cause a hold up waiting for oncoming traffic. Med by Friday?

I averaged down with a buy at under 24p on 19th Oct plus got the divi, Saw that a) The SP has recovered a bit in the last week b) I was breaking even so.... bye, bye, I've sold. As I have said previously, I successfully traded this share before so know it's range bound (n a steadily declining sort of way) - and with the recent poor (ish) trading update plus general drop in the broader market then 27p didn't seem bad. Probably the wrong decision by me (as usual) but I'm a bit relieved to be out to be honest. Probably get a takeover bid now! Good luck to all holders

That blows my theory about how RNSs are worded - it is indeed unusual to have an RNS that starts with 'pleased to announce' that causes a virtual 50% drop in SP. On a quick read it doesn't seem too bad except that they are getting a bit short on cash - investors worries about another cash call? Hopefully not at this price else with the necessary discount new equity would need to be sub 4p

Some reasonably large deals today. I doubt they are down to Directors given how close we are to the financial result from the latest quarter at Kiziltepe. That would be naughty.
But then again, I know sod all and have proved it beyond reasonable doubt in the past.
Usually it nice to see Director buying, but given their current holding (and of course open options), further buying would make me suspicious of a pending management buyout. Again, just my opinion.

There has to be a correlation between the SP of a Oil company, producing or not, and POO. If POO was $5 a barrel then any oil company is worthless. If POO was $1000 a barrel then any oily is worth a fortune. So you cannot say SP isn't relevant even when not producing yet - especially when production is imminent.
I don't think anyone really knows where POO is going The recent drop is a reaction to fears of a drop in global demand due to trade wars and a reported increase in supply by US, Russia and SA. But the big unknown is how badly the Iran sanctions will bite when they come in next week. Who knows? Equally how badly will POO be depressed if the maniac in the White House subsequently lifts the sanctions?
I think HUR is pretty comfortable with POO at the current level.

Not sure if that's a typo, but I'm off to the pub to drink to that!

Investing in AAU is having a new lover (though this post is being written largely from distant memory!).

I don't think that you can rely on an increasing gold price. As you say AAUs margin is healthy Company development and its PR is to an extent within the companys control. POG isn't!

Yep, you could well be right, that makes sense. Transfer the Marines to smaller crafts in shallow water away from the main shipping lane, Safaga port is too small for a ship like AM to dock in from memory, more a marina for dive boats.
