Enjoyed your post and I can relate to what you say. Indeed I have said similar things in the past. The company has never said they expect to find a prospect like HM. Many posters, particularly on ADVFN, have effectively been assuming HM2 is a question of when, not if. Think reality is beginning to dawn on PIs that HM2 is feasible but by no means certain.
My decision to invest here (and I do have a shed load of shares considering the MC) is based on having a JV capable of producing 25k oz for a couple of years, expanding to 50 k oz for hopefully a further 6-8 years then being replaced by 50 k oz from NE Turkey for a further 10. That could prove conservative, arguably it may prove optimistic. And hopefully against rising PM prices. Who knows, answers on a postcard please.

The MC is down to 630k, so you could buy a declarable 3% stake here with only 20k invested! You don't know where this is going, even if you think you do, and you can bet the BOD will somehow look after themselves out of the little that is left - that is the way of the world.

Interesting posts from Aduk. Did cross my office workers mind that the size of last weeks shuttle tanker was called into question. Could it be that because of tanker availability, we have 2 smaller take offs (including of course a near additional weeks production). Unlike other things in life the size of your shuttle tanker does matter......

One by one the big boys are selling and the shares released are being mopped up by hyper PIs. Cant see why the big boys, who invest with heads not hearts, would sell if RLD is a nailed on money maker as many on this board think. Just an observation, try to be objective.

No one will get rich on that but in fairness all holders should take up the offer and, if they want, replace in the market for less than 50% of the cost. Good luck to all holders, I don't now what to make of the situation at present.

If its effectively non trading, which I assume to be the case, then I would have thought fundamentals would be precisely the basis of the valuation of a RTO. However I don't have experience of such so I just wish all RLD holders good luck

Why £2m? Im by no means an accountant but I think the accounts, shown in the 'Fundamentals' tab, are showing net assets of £100k. Yes, the tax losses may be worth a few quid if they are usable, is that how you are making up the balance?

Yep, I'm ancient Scotman. I luckily wasn't in Eurotunnel before the refinancing (2009?) but took a gamble on the existing shareholders voting for massive dilution rather than wipeout. Bought and immediately sold on the spike when the appalling dilution was accepted. Flushed with that I thought Id do the same thing when the situation arose again with Interserve recently, I couldn't believe institutional investors wouldn't accept the only deal on offer - due to a family problem I couldn't buy......and this time the shareholders voted for the wipeout option. Lucky escape.

That's great. I was thinking more about the transfer time before the vessels. As an office worker from the Midlands I assume that, due to the position of the well (and the weather that implies, especially as winter approaches) and the availability of the shuttle tankers (and how that fits into the weather windows), we cant necessarily read too much into the timing of the offloads?

As far as I am aware LSE do not prohibit non shareholders from posting. As to why I am on 'your' BB it is because I am aware of Sirius and have considered it for some time as a potential investment, though I admit not at the moment. As for the value of my contribution, do you not think it is healthy and potentially useful to have people voicing a contrarian view - or do you believe the best way forward is to have a only a group of fans bigging up the situation in the face of any adverse information?
