Couldn't agree more. The level of false claims was a disgrace, upheld by courts. Haliburton effectively let off with slapped wrists. Special relationship between our countries? Yep, bend over Brits and drop your trousers. Wasn't even in the Trump era.

Just found time for a bit of a catch up. Can I say that I am a bit surprised at the almost rabid backlash that Red October faced. Pretty much everyone here has never met anyone else on the board For all you lot know I may be a cross dressing HGV driver from Ecclefechan, though in these enlightened times that would probably make me an asset. My point is that everyone has to be accepted on trust, give the guy a break. He may have contacts, maybe he hasn't. Just don't choke off a potential source of information. We are all a bit jumpy at the moment about LC after WD and so many expect a repeat. Confidence is easily shaken (witness the SP) but thank gawd Lancaster appears to be romping along.

Good philosophy, and as long as you are net up who can argue? I too have had my share of disasters (too many and painful to admit too) but also successes. I have reached a stage now where I plan to 'leave' the market as soon as I can tidy up remaining holdings. I want to go on holiday without worrying about the price or oil/ gold/ copper/ individual shares. Hope all works out, the situation isn't a dire as many I can think of. I suspect its not as bad as Sirius tbh!

Hmm. Still waiting!! I have some if these, bought a long, long time ago when I was obviously young and stupid, now sitting at >95% loss. In fact I barely ever bother to look. Yet another sick AIM joke. Its going to be one hell of a recovery Stew for me to make a profit here!

Got to be careful how I say this - considering that a great many investors have paid sub 10p for this share, the fact that it is still 5p (or thereabouts). despite what appears to be a gathering storm, is a bit of a gift for those who now have serious doubts. Yes to sell now will inevitably incur a loss, maybe substantial, but at least will give back some value. Trouble with a lot of companies that run into serious problems, by the time investors are aware and 'take stock' the SP is 90% down and so shrug their shoulder and say 'may as well stay in now'. Here there is more of a decision to make.

Also Paul I have found with AAU that at times you get a better price for 100k than say 250k, which means that a series of small deals is better than larger ones even allowing for payment of multiple commissions

There's no panic, just a feeling amongst many, if not all, long term investors that the PR of this company is poor. The journey has been good, at least in terms of business development if not in MC. We have a company whose SP, already considered low by most compared to its performance and prospects, has deteriorated by 20% at a time of a sustained rise in both POG & POS. Even if the series of RNS that are expected are not yet ready for release there is no reason to also abandon Twitter feedback that at one time became almost dally. No one is asking for the company to 'over hype' prospects, but at the moment the opposite it true - and investors/ prospective investors are voting decisively with their feet. With an MC of c.£20m there no help from the investment/ national press, |AAU is too small. The PR has to be generated by the company - particularly when they can see the direction the SP I taking. What, if anything, is purple pullover (or whatever they are called) doing. Apart from nothing. And how much does AAU pay them?

….another silence. AAU seems directionless against the background of rising metal prices while the SP of other miners have benefitted. This will continue in my opinion unless the companys PR gets its act together. I have read on other boards a switch to other better performing miners being advocated, and while long term I do not agree with this sentiment I can see that this could become a self fulfilling sentiment. Underperformance now could mean investors switching elsewhere resulting in a continued drift down here and continued rise there. We need the Q2 financials, Tavsan update, remaining Salinbas analysis...… in fact we just need something!

Hi DJ. Think your 'wash sales' are the same as out 'bed and breakfast'. Originally you could B&B in a nanosecond but these days if you sell and buy back within 30 calendar days you are deemed to have reacquired the same shares so the gain/loss is simply the gain/loss implied by the 2 matched transactions. SXX scares me, I certainly wouldn't go long on it. Or Aston Martin for that matter!

Sadly all true. Existing investors here need to be objective and consider their positions here even if, like me, they divest but keep a close eye on events with a view to possible reinvestment should things miraculously turn round. It looks as though in the fullness of time there will be adequate opportunities to buy back at lower than todays price.

Chris Gilbert is simply out of his depth here. Fox needs to change its top management to stand any chance of survival, or investment, imo. They are just floundering and sinking.

Its a good point Ivybush. Similarly many gold producers churn out shedloads of silver but focus is only on the gold. What are the production costs of gold per oz at Rambler or doesn't the company split out costs between the different metal types?

In the meantime I think it is safe to assume that production continues satisfactorily at Lancaster. At the CMD Dr T said (from memory) that any problems would be flagged to the market immediately. We haven't had one of those at least!
