I am in the Canaries and have been for 10 weeks.
The difference now from when I came is if I am daft enough to travel to the UK I now don’t have to quarantine. That clown Boris only said “non essential travel is discouraged” To me it is essential to go on holiday having put up with this crap for 6 months. Therefore I don’t see why the airlines will be impacted upon on Monday any different than yesterday.

between today and next Friday? None. As from Friday next week non essential travel is discouraged. This means anyone who fancies to go to the Canaries (I have been here 10 weeks) jumps on a plane and goes. The better news now is at present there is no quarantine on return. If aircraft are flying the situation is no different now than it will be when the new restrictions come in. Why the panic?

I took the plunge and bought a few of these a couple of weeks ago. A very good morning to all my friends on this peach of a start to the day. There is a visible anticipation of better times ahead in the area where I reside. Fortunately most of the Brits, Germans etc. that visit this region at this time of year are property owners or long term renters and the smaller businesses rely on them.
The Canaries are important to the LCC’s and I am sure the sp will eventually reflect this.
Now for you two clowns. Two faced, I have spent a good deal more time in SA than the UK and consider it my first home. Why don’t you take your permanent ban like a man and find another hobby. No pool as yet but just returned after being out early this morning and completed 36 holes on a championship course, every hole walked. Magnificent weather as usual. After a glorious day by the pool with plenty of good food and cold beer I couldn't resist a look on here for a good laugh. Not disappointed. I know a lot of businesses in Tenerife where I am who will be over the moon about the news as they have been hanging on hoping for this news prior to Christmas. Some of course have shut and are finished.
Ryanair and the rest will get a lift from this.

Qz. Today is the start of my 8th week here. The temp. day or night has not dropped below 23 degrees and will only lose a couple in the run up to the end of the year. It is paradise. No heating bills, two pairs of shorts and shirts do the trick and food is good and rock bottom prices. The real bonus is the benefits that have sprung up due to Covid. I work on my balcony when I want and attend meetings through Zoom or Teams. Business travel is history in all but emergencies. SA is out for me this year so I will just have to put up with this. Enjoy the sun in Bolton.

There are 12 Ryanair aircraft all within two hours of landing in the Canaries. Who can blame these passengers (who knows how many). It is a magnificent morning, 25 degrees, blue sky’s all day and low infection rates. I was out the other day and some guy had his mask only covering his mouth. A cop stopped and gave him a mother of a *******ing. Rules are followed and it works. Ah well time for a dip.

Qz. No harm meant but the day you posted that cracker on Glen was the best laugh I have had for a long time. It wasn't the actual post it was the reaction it provoked. The Recommend tick up went mad and they managed to remove it as it was about to register double figures. Some of the geriatric posters there reckoned they could identify the ones who pressed the Recommend button. How stupid is that. The gas meter reader lost it and gave out his email address so sympathisers could confront him.
Now as for Madrid being in lockdown I have seen many Spanish arriving here from the capital during the last few hours to spend the weekend. Now the only way you get here quickly is to fly.

For your information none of you clowns will be getting on a Max 8 with Ryanair. It will be rebranded to Dash 200. Now for further information the 737 has had more than 80 incidents were their has been fatalities but I presume you are all quite happy to jump on a 737-800. Well by next summer if everyone refuses to board the rebranded -800 Ryanair will lose a **** house load of money as they will probably be operating at least 40 by then. This aircraft is the future for Ryanair.
Now what I want to know is what disguise the three faced Cornwall clown is going to attempt next?

From my balcony this morning at 10am, 10 aircraft had left Portuguese airspace and were on their way down to Tfs. One was TAP, two EasyJet and seven Ryanair. Very unusual even in normal times to see this volume. What load factor these a/c are carrying is the unknown. This is the time the older folks from the UK come for their 5/6 month escape from the UK winter. The Canaries need them and as such anyone testing positive for the virus after two weeks on the Island will be treated free courtesy of the Spanish government. We are practically virus free here but refuse to wear a mask except when eating or drinking and you will be shot.

As I look from my balcony over the blue pool, blue sea and out to where the blue sky blends in I think how lucky I am. Having the next six months of the weather in the UK in front of me would be frightening.

Qz. Now pools and the maintaining there of is right up my ally. The one here in the Canaries was green as green can be after 6 months without loving care. I shocked it immediately and set the creepy to concentrate on the walls. Bunged in a acid treatment called monthly which as it says should last a month. After two weeks bingo absolutely sparkling. Now this pool is tiled completely and it is much easier to maintain than the one in SA which has a marbelite finish. Man I really should get on to that Glenda site as I am rambling off topic, on the other hand probably not.
