The only idiot on this site is you Blue. Speedbird is correct and you are the only one who keeps telling everyone that business class travel will return with a bang. I am in the aviation business and I deal with the major players producing aircraft. I categorically state that the business travel enjoyed by their employees will be cut right to the bone. Companies have functioned perfectly well during the travel ban and only when a needs must face to face contact is required will trips be made.
Is it possible Blue can we have a little less quantity and more quality.

The max is going to be a game changer when normality resumes. It will enable Ryanair to continue with the lowest prices out there and it’s convenient scheduling.
This has got to be achieved because it’s the last airline anyone would use if this was not the case. As for customers avoiding Ryanair because the aircraft is a Max, most would be pushed distinguishing it from a comet. The sp has hung on for a further week and this is the best we can hope for until the shackles are released. In my opinion this will not happen until late July/August.

Anyone who thinks the testing and quarantine on returning from an overseas is anything but a farce and senseless, speak up.
I returned from overseas a couple of weeks ago and tested negative before my departure. I paid £220 for my two tests during my 10 days quarantine. I took the first one as instructed after 2 days an finally got the result a week later. I took the second one on the 8th day which was a week ago. As of yet no result. This is obviously making a bunch of money for the testing company but is of little use otherwise.
Just a quick question is there anyone on here who doesn’t buy at the bottom and sell at the top? and more importantly do we care.

It grinds me to agree with the two previous posts but you are becoming a pain in the arse. By your own admission you have no airline shares and probably never will have and yet you park yourself here most days. Why? Man when are we going to stop believing everything we read. The rules to travel to Spain are so simple. For a UK resident 3 docs are required. A form from the UK gov. that gives a valid reason for travel. A locator form whilst in Spain. Finally a negative PCR test taken no later than 72 hours prior to travel. A UK resident can travel without the UK gov form if a valid TIE card can be produced. Turning up with a 3 month old negative PCR test will not cut it. I can assure you if the docs are in order Ryanair will let you travel.
Now fb22 this is just for you. If in your occupation travelling to many countries is a necessity a passport may have to be lodged in a foreign embassy for a visa. During this period a passport could be required to visit another country. Hence on application the UK gov. if convinced of the need will issue a second passport. It is good to learn something everyday.

Doug. The 90 day rule applies to Brits residing in a EU country without having official resident rites in that country. All this means is that without residentia in a EU country a Brit can spend a maximum of 90 days out of 180 days in any EU country. A way round it when travel from the UK is permitted is to have two UK passports.
Hopefully for travellers a light at the end of the tunnel will be announced today. This will boost airline sp’s.

Flew back from the Canaries with Ryanair together with a plane full of fellow Brits who now fall foul of the 90 day rule. Apart from the odd Ezy. flight there is little choice. The flight was ok and lived up to expectations. The Canaries - UK route will now be dead until restrictions are eased.

A few days ago you posted. “Skindle - No need to apologise, you are entitled to your opinion whether or not people agree” Also, it would be advisable to learn to read as nowhere do I mention “disliking” the UK. My post is meant to point out the fact that whilst four PCR tests are likely to be around for considerable time the cost will be out of reach for most would be travellers.

Unfortunately when overseas travel is allowed it is going to become very expensive.
The last thing to go will be the need to quarantine after an overseas trip and the associated two PCR tests. I came out to the Canaries in October and I paid £150 for a PCR test to enable me to enter Spanish territory. Now due to the clowns who ticked the EU leave box mainly to stop foreigners taking jobs they won’t do I am subject to the ninety day rule and have to leave before April 1st and need to take a test to enable me to enter the UK. Cost €110. On entering the UK I quarantine for 10 days taking a further two test costing £210. Total cost £450. Now as I spread this over 6 months it is peanuts but not for a family of four having a two week holiday.
I am heavily invested here as well as in LCC and hope they all can hang in there.

I have dealings with the two biggest s aircraft manufacturers in the world and their subsidiaries and it has already been said that the volume of business travel pre pandemic is a thing of the past. Sure the high level meetings will be face to face but that is all. Pre pandemic I spent half my life on aircraft and if someone had said I could sit here on my balcony in the Canaries and still perform I would have called them mad. I am a convert and I will never go back. As for BA competing in the LCC world it will not happen. All of course in my opinion.
