Man when will we cease having to read the constant garbage on this BB. Firstly Ryanair cannot be ranked for long haul travel as the max distance for any route is 2500 miles. Next it will never trade again at €8. It is without doubt for customers the worst airline aside for price in the world. I invested to make money and that is all I am interested in and in that respect it has outperformed. I understand in a normal world why O’Leary would want the Maxes. Having to shell out $22 billion could make a dent on the coffers though.

Firstly I have large numbers in a few airline shares. It ****es me off when I read posts from self aclaimed experts who get it right all the time and yet only invest enough for a couple of pints. Now up to August of last year I worked in South Africa and travelled from there on a regular basis all round the world on business. If someone would have asked me in August could I work from home I would have laughed at them. I have since relocated to my place in the Canaries and I will never go back to the days when I spent most of my life on an aircraft. Business travel will never return to the volumes of pre pandemic days. The old BA would have suffered greatly from this. Fortunately when everything kicks off again the slim downed BA be in good shape.

Man some investors really should stick to the lottery. The trade is UT (UncrossingTrades) not a buy.

As of now and if travel was possible the testing cost of a return trip to the Canaries would be in the region of £450 per person. This is not going to go away when travel from the UK is possible. Testing for passengers leaving and returning to the UK will be here to stay for a long time as countries cannot risk further outbreaks. Vaccine passports may shorten the time before some testing is dropped but this won’t happen until probably the fourth quarter of this year.
By the way weather perfect here in the Canaries and pretty much Brit free. Can it get any better?

big-blue. I little bit of false info in your post. “The Canaries do not have restrictions” I am in Tenerife and have been for the last three months. We are at alert level one and this ranges through the Islands to Lanzerote at alert level 4. All alert levels carry restrictions. At all alert levels masks must be worn at all times when outside and not eating or drinking. This is strictly policed. If UK residents were allowed to come on holiday the price would put anyone off. A total of 4 PCR tests are required at a cost of £600 per person.

I find it pathetic that there are individuals around who have nothing better to do than construct post after post on a bb of a company where no shares are held. It is even more pathetic here as shares can no longer be acquired so hoping to get in cheaper is out the window now.

Check out the article by Peter Hargreaves (Hargreaves Lansdown). He predicts the Ryanair share price will double when some kind of normality returns. All airline shares will follow suit. The Brits are gagging to make up for the missed holidays in 2020 and as soon as able will be paying the price the airlines will be asking. Whatever happens in the short term if the vaccine does the trick anyone holding airline shares will be rubbing their hands this time next year.

For all the non believers out there check out the article by Peter Hargreaves. He states that if anyone wants a punt Ryanair is the one. He reckons when this virus is in retreat the share price will double. Now as this man has amassed a fortune of 2.4 Billion in the business, worth listening to. I am of the opinion that this will also apply to the airlines that are left standing. This will include BA and EasyJet.

28 years is nothing for an airliner now if the MRO is as per the manufacturers manual. Problems will always surface if shortcuts are taken and this is always more likely with lessor known airlines.

I am in the Canaries and have been for most of the last 5 months. I did travel back to the UK for business for a few days last month. Fortunately I arrived back here and just beat the ban on any UK national entering Spain unless they have a Spanish residency card. On arriving back in the Canaries I had to produce a negative PCR cert.(£150). No one was allowed to board the aircraft without the said certificate.
O’Leary is correct when he says nobody is going to book flights with the chaos present in the UK and the governments knee jerk reaction to it. He is indicating that the pandemic has been handled badly and I know he is right there. The Christmas Day fiasco has yet to kick in and the school situation is abysmal.

Wrong facts again fleccy. To enter Spain only a full blown PCR test is accepted.

The problem with O’Leary is he tells it the way it is and makes a good deal more sense than the clowns who unfortunately have made a complete FU of the situation.
Your attachment tells me only that as from next week a negative test will be required to enter the UK. The test has to be conducted within 72 hours of travel. It is therefore important to know if next week is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday , Friday? Plus it has still not been stipulated which test is acceptable. This is important as a full blow COVID test for a family of 4 would cos £800 in Spain as against £160 for an antigen test. Clarity is required which is not asking a lot.

Also in a previous post you said what O’Leary said in his interview was wrong. Please enlighten me and tell us what was it he said was wrong. I also need to know when the governments requirement that to enter the UK a negative test is required kicks in. From when does this apply and what kind of test is required? I can’t find this anywhere.

fleecy. In what respect do you mean “Ryanair is better than IAG and EZJ” Apart from the convenience of its route and cheapness it has no equal as the worst carrier around. As for it being cash rich it will eventually part with 22bn for its purchase of 210 Max’s. Other airlines are disposing of aircraft and making do with a reduced fleet. Second hand aircraft are ten a penny and their value reducing daily. I can’t see the mileage in purchasing new aircraft until normality starts to return. Just my opinion.

Doug. Forget about enforcing quarantine in the UK they must start enforcing the basic rules to avoid transmission. I have been in the Canaries for 5 months and I feel as safe as houses. We can go to the pub and sit outside, have a meal, sit four to a table. Masks are worn at all times whilst away from home. In the area I live last week there were two deaths, both 85 plus. I feel so safe here and the beauty is the work I do when I feel like it can be done remotely.
I quite like Boris as a person but the Fuc!!!! Idiots he has surrounded himself with (Williamson, Han****, Patel to name a few) are a joke. The decisions are always two+ weeks too late.
