Very interesting that Quady is getting absolutely zero recommendations for his posts.
Despite posting a huge percentage of the posts he is now pretty much on his own with his view.
So this board is pretty much aligned it it’s thinking. I am delighted.

Just had a message from Panama to say that her mother passed away this morning. I am sure that we would all like to pass on our condolences at this time.

I think I can now agree with Quady that the AGM was a success.

Add, yes I would doubt nm will be a Ned for more than six months. Going to make things tough for Jason ward and the remnants of the old bod, with conflicted loyalties.
Would be nice to see some hedge funds piling in to the end game. Price action should tell us something.

Oh. My reading was that the chairman told him his position was untenable, and it might have kicked off. Maybe NM came to that conclusion all by himself.
Does the chair really want NM as a back seat driver undermining the new ceo? Going to be some tough board meetings...

Nothing about going mining, thankfully. Staggered that NM is allowed to stay on as Ned. Suggests that it wasn’t as acrimonious as I thought.

Bozi, it will be seen to be an abject failure when the dust settles. Obviously that’s my opinion and am happy to hold my hand up if proved wrong. I would always bet on bhp vs NM in any battle.

Bozi dont you think if they really wanted to defeat NM publicly bhp would have exercised all their options? I think it was just a shot across the bows...

So it was a success because it wasn’t an abject failure? Not sure it’s that binary. Time will tell. Imho management will probably change. Strategy will definitely change. And so will the sp, which will allow some of us to move on. Much to everyone’s delight.

Quady, you have said that the AGM was a success. Could you perhaps define what you mean by success?
Not many companies would regard it a ‘success’ that their CEO wasn’t ousted at an AGM.
There are often degrees of success and failure. My BBC suggestion would be that the AGM was much closer to failure than success for the current bod and mgmt.

Not sure why there is this belief that NM would sell his shares if he went. He is clearly motivated by money, amongst other things. If he knew that he was being replaced to facilitate some kind of asset realisation, he would know the shares would rally on the news. So he won’t sell.
He will hold as an investor, possibly be a critic of the company, clearly won’t remain on the board. There is a tiny chance that he might try to form some kind of vehicle to take some of the assets from Solgold. All imho of course!

Watty, you do know that the ceo of starvest is Callum Baxter don’t you? So he will probably know before anyone else knows. And starvest have a staff of about two or three.
But I suspect the rally is cos the shares are thin and about 50% discount to nav.
