HG, the ASX is an order driven mkt and so there really arent any dealers or mkt makers. But thats not to say there arent st traders who look to profit by adding to the liquidity though I dont know how prevalent that is in Oz.

There will undoubtedly be companies/individuals who place orders in UK to satisfy the perceived ASX demand and those who 'lift a leg' in Oz looking to offset that trade in the UK. Thats how liquidity will slowly move from UK to Oz.

Plus any Aussie insto can buy in London and immediately convert to the Aussie listing as we are 100% fungible.

Slowly, perhaps too slowly for some, volume will increase in Oz and may (though not necessarily) decrease in London.

KingJoe, Its a domestic US tariff thing. If you look at the international prices - LME - they are not 'blasting off'.

Charlie, its sold as copper concentrate which will almost certainly go to Chinese smelters.

In the past it hasnt made much difference whether people use Comex or LME prices for our copper revenue, as they were similar. But with Trump tariffs looming and Comex trading at a significant premium to the LME because its a domestic US duty paid price, it does. GGP wont be selling copper into the US and therefore the LME price is a lot more realistic.

Yep bonkers, it’s still a much higher price using lme than pfs. Just didn’t want people plugging in comex and extrapolating something from that.

Dont want to pi55 on anyones chips but comex cu price is a duty paid domestic US price, and has risen due to the potential tariffs. A more accurate price for Ecuadorean cu would be the LME which is much lower.

Just goes to show what an excellent pair PS and DV are - if only at this stage compared to the dross of NM/DC and SC that went before. IMO if we give these two a chance they will deliver. Maybe not the nonsense of 164p, but an outside chance of 64p.

Very happy that DV will be fairly rewarded with his atm options. Slightly concerned that PS wont be getting similar compensation.

RK, if you are going to use a premise to justify a theory it should be at least partly correct.

Hanging, I am very happy to bet on the Aussie economy vs the quite useless British economy, politicians and lazy entitled citizens. So I see it as an excellent risk/reward.

When you bet against the £, you usually make money. But possibly not against US$ which is even more clucked.
