With a mkt cap of over C$21bn they clearly should do something but whether they want more country risk I am not sure.

Sageman, I have been in Neds fund since 2017. Its taken a long time and a lot of patience but when it moves, it really does. I would have thought that the generalists would be showering Ned with money now.

I like those two too. Plus Egon von Greyerz, Craig Hemke, Eric Sprott and Chris Vermuelen. I find Andrew Maguire so annoying. I am sure he has some reallly useful insights and probably knows way more than he tries to say. But why does he talk in riddles and his own invented nonsense 'jargon'. Is he trying to confuse and obfuscate or does he think he will reveal his sources if he just speaks plain English? I have tried to get in touch with him but to no avail. Its often tortuous to listen to his one hour once a week rambling, just hoping for an interesting needle amongst the haystck of nonsense.

Nearly all the broker targets are in AUD, so any slight movement in the sterling equivalent are due to changes in the exchange rate. We are an AUD company now so we carry the e/r risk.

It wasnt 'a raise', it was a sale and purchase. Newmont sold the shares and Aussie instos bought them from Newmont.

Agree Mathers. The numerator (income, metal, asset value or whatever value metric you use) is diluted by streaming as cash is paid away, but the denominator stays the same. So on a per share basis you have less of whatever the numerator is. In a rights issue you have more of the denominator which reduces the per share value of the numerator.

You dont get something for nothing, unless of course you use the cash raised to increase the numerator by more than the amount of cash raised.

Its quite ridiculous for RK to say that streaming etc deals are not dilutive. Of course they are. Its just that they dont add to shares in issue, but that isnt the definition of dilution. They reduce the numerator if not the denominator. Somewhat calls into question all his other mathematical statements.

FWIW I have total contempt for British journalists (plus politicians, police, teachers and lawyers!), but I think Aussie journos are quite a bit worse. IMO!

BC, I think that applies to most people on here and in life. Some people have a lot of knowledge and strangely think that gives them licence to post on subjects that they are not qualified to comment! Trouble is who on here has any knowledge that can be trusted? Its a shame that each poster doesnt have to verify their skills and knowledge, but maybe thats for LinkedIn.

Personally I trust E1 for geological knowledge and his connections in Oz, Bamps for his knowledge on mining and civil engineering, Paddy on most things he opines on, and a couple of others who seem to know mining and Telfer and Speedy on all things gold. My knowledge is the commodity market and stock market and finance. I am clueless on geology and mining, so you wont see me have an opinion.

The value of this board is infinitely greater if one can work out who knows and who is just having a chat in the pub!

Professor. Generally PIs buy rallies and sell dips. Its fear and greed. Thats why they lose money. If one recognises this and can stomach doing the opposite (which is quite difficult), one can make money.

There is a great book called 'Simple but not easy', and that just about sums up my view on trading.
