Afternoon Quady. Thanks for your reply. That makes sense and so FN is highly leveraged to the price of the metals that they finance. Also, I suppose that you can say that Solgold has lost the price upside on 1 of their 85% of Alpala - if not the exploration upside.

I should know this but don’t. How do FN get repaid for their loan? Is it with proceeds of mine sales or is it in product mined? Ie who is taking the price risk going forward of the mines production?
I get it that production/resource is fixed basis the current estimate of product in the ground.

Has a good interview with Shaw's gold mining analyst talking about NC. Lots about non Solgold stuff, so for all you fans of Solgold only, you may have to fast forward through why Havieron is such a great prospect! But he does think NC want to keep its stake in Solgold, which hasnt been my thinking up till now.

I dont understand why anyone would own CGP. Has there been a case made for buying this company's shares? I would like to hear it.

PMO is a massively leveraged play on the oil price. Ggp has more in common with a piece of rotting fish....dear oh dear.

For some reason there appears to be a regular desire to compare solgold with GGP. I have no idea why. Different companies, with different assets in different locations and very different management and their vision/mission. I have yet to read a post on this site that understands Ggp. The fact that solgold is very cheaply valued is undisputed by most people. The route to monetisation for solgold is debated. But I wouldn’t compare the companies to each other any more than I would compare solgold to anything other than the price of the metals that they have found, and that’s pretty tenuous when there will be no income for 5 years or more.

Totally agree Blantyre. There are a few who have talked themselves into a right old tizzy this weekend. Fear has overtaken greed but not based on facts, just a bit of nonsense about JPM.
Comparing sxx to ggp is laughable. Absolutely no comparison in the literal sense of the word. I was never in sxx so don’t know the full story but I doubt that I would ever invest in a mine in the uk. Hopefully this is just weekend bs and by Monday most people will be concentrating on the important stuff. Shall we get a small consortium together to put spratt out of his misery??

Spratt. Everyone is entitled to buy, sell or hold for whatever reason. Congratulations and good luck finding another share as good as this. It won’t be easy.

Schlemiel. I can’t believe so because they don’t Own 100% and can’t w/o a contract that hasn’t been agreed. For instance how much cash would they have to deduct from NCs cash reserves in lieu of payment for the 30%. So no it’s just basis 70%.

Tmt I was using 0.5551 or the reciprocal depending which way you are going.
816m shares for NC times 3.4 so uplift equals 2775, times 0.5551 equals £1540 divided by 70 times by 30= £660. Is that not right?

TMT. I thought was what I said. At least it was what I meant. But you have to start with the premise that at some stage hav was valued in the sp of both companies, similarly. They add 3.4 a share to NC valuation. Based on their 70% of hav the equiv uplift for ggp is £660m or 15.5p. But I don’t know what price to add 15.5p too.
To make things easier it would be good to know what ubs value hav at on a 100% basis. Maybe hydrogen could find out?

If you thought that GGP was fairly valued in the same way as NC was fairly valued as per Havieron then the equiv increase for GGPs stake on a 30% basis is £660myn, more than the current mkt cap.
Wonder whether GH feels that he might just sold a few too many.......
