Because they have gone bust already about 4 - 5 times in the past. could this happen again I guess it can if they don't make profit and enough sales.

We can buy wine good wine and in most cases now better wine from around the world, great cheeses etc from else where and in the end produce more british food and products here.

I noticed today that ( Connells ) have just increased their takeover offer for cwd by 30% because they have realised they couldn't get enough shareholders to agree the first deal terms.
So it's about time AA had a similar increased offer from their takeover people / guys. so come on wheres the 45p -60p offer, you know it's the only way the takeover is going to happen.

If a consolidation of 20x takes place at 80p and you have 10,000 shares, the price on consolidation date would be 80p x 20 ie £16 and you would end up with 10,000 by 20 ie 500 shares.
Now come on we all know what happens next, they will never trade at £16 and will probably trade at about £10 to start then fall back to who knows what maybe £3.50 in 6 months.
If a consolidation takes place you are better to wait until after the con/ date. Remember they were trading at what £90 - £15 before they needed to raise more money and where have we ended up after 2-3-4 more capital raises.

It's true that we all lose money now and again but you forgot to mention I also bought ITV under 60p and CNA under 40p, AA under 25p, so swings and R. You seem to be the one that cannot move on.

Seems to be stuck in a range of £2.60 - £2.90 and with my ave over £5 maybe it's time to start buying a little more when the sp drops back to £2.60 ish and trade at £2.90 ish, but we all know things never go to plan and it would be sod's law that the sp went down to £2.30 after I top up. still that's life.

What's the point in buying at this price when a rights issue at 2p-3p is coming very soon. remember they have already spen about £250m on a pipeline no one wants, drilled wells that no one wants, for customers that don't exist , when the world is moving over to electricity to go green, and end up with a MCap of what £3-£5m on a good day. the sooner this goes belly up the better everyone will be.

RNS looks like DKC now have 17%, they have agreed to sell all to the consortium for 35p and it looks like they continue to buy for an extra 1p-2p.

There's a great article in the Mail today about private equity buyers over the last few years being that are buyout barons / vultures that have killed off stores like Maplin's , Comet, Poundland, and now Debenhams etc.
Could this be the outcome for AA under this new proposal, they put in some money but then strip it and off-load it again with even more debt until it goes under. If they can raise £300m on the market to reduce the next bonds due why can't the AA. board.?

OK it just confirms tha Bidco has 15.5% in the bag as it stands but by issuing this % I am sure they are hoping it sways others to sell at 35p and I guess they will try to up-date the market if and when they get a higher % of the holding, but I think it also shows that this is NOT going to be as easy as they thought with ABC voting it down.
I think they have shown their hand here and they must have a fall back position and bid 38p -40p to get this away.

Does this look like Bidco are expecting another higher bid and are making it clear that DK will sell their shares to Bidco anyway or are Bidco expecting to pay more than 35p to stop another higher bid ?
