I guess all that the shareholders can ask for is a full takeover by Mercedes in 2021 to see the brand of AML / DBS live on.
If WTO terms increase the cars by 10% in Europe the sales will dry up and the company must hope to seel many more to China and the US other wise it's game up.

Hi MrG123, I am afraid I agree with you. We have all gone through this sort of reshuffle in the past either lose your job/ take a pay cut/ made redundant myself included. But now with so many others out of work and just looking for jobs I think the unions have mis -read the times and this will go through no trouble. We all feel for anyone who has this problem but a job is a job even if it is at a lower rate, as long as you can pay all the bills etc. Didn't this also happen to British Airways.

Yes bring on a no deal and tariffs for many goods and all that extra tax to help pay for covid.
Now we can start buying many more made in britain products to improve our productivity.
There always 2 sides to every story and we will benefit in the long run.

British utility Centrica
has signed two long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs)
covering 345 megawatts (MW) of capacity with Finnish renewables
developer and fund manager Taaleri Energia, it said
on Thursday.

So this must be a good deal and at a good price.

Under the first five-year deal starting with immediate
effect, Centrica’s trading unit will offtake Taaleri’s power
production from 13 Finnish renewables sites totalling 312 MW and
sell it to the market, a company spokesman told Reuters.

I was in Nov last year and many thought it would be out by now so what are they waiting for, are they waiting for confirmation of some deals or what and then issue the statement. Or is there some bad news around.

The Transaction is conditional upon agreement by Centrica's shareholders and various other approvals, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2020
So we could still get this done and get the £2.8b by end of Dec now everything has been passed.

I guess they are as expected but it's a very big loss of £397m.

Gasman, so you leave in 1 week, I know you are trying to paint a picture here good or bad but can you now be honest,
are you leaving on a redundant pay pagage and agreed terms or have you been fired or have you just had enough and found another job, or so pi*** ed off you have just left without another job. It all makes a difference.

First I am just me and no one else. second we all know what happens with consolidations I have ben caught many times in the past like many others.
You have to ask yourself if the sp was £15 now would you buy aml.
They listed / floated at £19 after going bust 4-5 times in the past because they never made big enough profits and didn't have enough sales or following to stop the company going bust.
Once the float was out the way the sp started it's big drop right down to what about 30p ish and again because they have no profits and run out of money again the have had what 2-3 money raisers and placings to where we are now.
But there are just too many shares on the markets so again it's consolidation time, Now most still believe they will need even more money so by consolidating again that leaves the dore open for another 1 /2 /3 placings over the next few months. How can a compnay like AML hold a share price of £15 + with No profits and burning cash like mad. That's why I think it will again see a drop in sp over a short time. Now I could be wrong by history says not.

of 20 will mean 75p x 20 = £15,00 sp, NO Way that will hold and will be down to £10, then £6 then back to £2.50 in 6 months. everyone knows that.

It's coming down the line in a few weeks I think.

So we have a few big holders now , yew tree has 16.8%, stroll has 21%, mercedes what 20%.
So will that all change when we get the consolidation?
Onething is for sure is that the pi's will be left with much less.

It's a shame when certain companies take advantage of the market conditions with peoples jobs but in all honesty this has been happening for the last 10-15 years. I know it's a bit different now with covid etc but you can bet your life that the city always likes this sort of action as it helps profits regardless of who / what people lose their jobs.
But it could be true that centrica will be in a better position with less debts and more long term prospects for jobs with all the people that will be left.

There should be no reason why after paying down debt this sp should not be £1 in a few months , but will it.
The big question is when to buy more, now before the brexit talks end with no deal or in a few weeks when all the sale money comes in, but will it be too late then.

I guess many are just sitting and waiting to see what happens to the brexit dinner/ talks tonight, if there is NO deal then many share / ftse will go down maybe 10%, then is the time to top up in my view.
