I find John Briggs to be balanced and knowledgeable. I, like him, chose a high quality, well led company with a strong brand name. IAG fits that bill and my view is a couple of years. IAG LONGTERM? For myself, the positive is that the majority of analysts have maintained their positions. Analysts have frequent contact with the finance director (except in close season) so one has to assume nothing has been inferred to make them feel negative. Having worked for Archie in the past, I know he was born in England but has proud Highland ancestry. As for Stuart, I have no idea of his place of birth, but to anyone, like me, with Scottish blood, the names Stuart and Machin would strongly indicate a Scot.

I fear that is incorrect. There is a poster who does and does so in and unpleasant and intrusive way. To conflate the 'strong buy' on the Opinion section here as a direct incentive to buy or sell is a bit of a stretch. But, above and beyond this, is the tendency of this particular individual to be aggressive. Not sure how one is supposed to interpret this "you do not want my attention" a strange comment made to other posters here.

Carrington, I am with you 100% absolutely nothing wrong with trading: it is, after all, what makes markets. My issue revolves around one particular trader here who exhorts people to either buy/sell. Sometimes he gets it right and sometimes wrong. People like you know what you are doing when it comes to investing. Others(like myself) don't have that degree of experience and can easily be persuaded to make the wrong moves. I have no issue with comments such as observations as to why an SP might go in a certain direction but setting oneself up as some sort of infallible SP price prophet is dangerous. E and irresponsible. That is just my view. Glad to see the SP currently reflective of a first-class business. I hope that when the co is able to produce a stable and reasonable dividend we might see less volatility. I always enjoy reading your balanced and intelligent comments.

Quite happy to name you. Has little to do with being manly or not as I doubt we would meet. My opinion remains. Encouraging people to buy and sell -especially those inexperienced, is dangerous and should be avoided. It is somewhat foolish to describe me as a 'ramper'.
