Frankly, why would a Brit or indeed a European family care two hoots about tariffs and feeling angry with Trump. Does anyone seriously think people will cancel a holiday because of distaste for Trump? Ridiculous. I cannot abide Macron, but that won't stop me visiting a country I love. Equally, there is likely to be considerably more international business travel as corporates restructure supply chains.

I think the point is that you are a trader whilst others here are long term. Myself? I tend to follow the lead of experienced sector analysts rather than ungifted amateurs who may have different parameters

I think he grossly miscalculated. Had he been gradualist in dealing with this complex problem he might have got more sympathy. I suspect you are right. Things will settle down and deals done behind closed doors
