Sometimes think sentiment plays a huge part of investing in shares.

Look at where we are today compared to 12 months ago. I think Oilex has made great progress and you only have to listen to Joe’s tone of voice to see that the company is now ready to embark on further transformational change.

G0I approval shortly > Re-establish gas flow from existing wells > improved flow rates with new technology > gas sales revenue > funding for further drilling > further increased production > Irish Sea news > new CEO with good creds to strengthen board.

The negatives maybe timelines, or possible delays but they’ll come and go. Comes back to sentiment.

I was unfortunately diagnosed with prostrate cancer 6 weeks ago and am sat typing this from my hospital bed having had a robotic laparoscopic prostratectomy this week. Didn’t think I’d be going thru this at 53 but it has made me evaluate all sorts including time. On a plus I get six figure payout for critical illness next week and really am tempted to buy a whole lot more, on top of the large holding already. Decisions, decisions.

Hi Jack..... thanks, the dark art of the markets! I’m still not convinced that’s happening though. Could be some holders de- risking at lower averages or older options being sold. There is just too much news to come and it could land catching people out at anytime

Jack ..... what makes you so sure Tranche 2 will be sold? At a loss to the holders? I don’t get why people say the placing shares are going to be flipped? What for zero return? No don’t buy it

Are Oilex about to go it alone using Roland's investment firm contacts? We have a significant asset. Could raise debt funding as well.

Republic took £900k of the £2.4m placing shares. The rest went to sophisticated investors and clients of Novum Securities.

I see a lot of mention of the new placing shares being churned. Serious question why would they be at the current price to generate absolutely zero return on their investment. We are told these placing shares went to Republic and existing institutional investors. I’m fairly sure for now they’re in sticky hands.

The Wet Bandits...I have invested a significant amount of capital in this share, but not without doing my due diligence. Anyone with half a brain investing long term should get to know everything and everyone involved in the company. I have posted before that I have communicated with the company. They have answered some of my questions and not commented on others. Most recently they confirmed they were working towards delivering the time frames as stated in recent announcements; I have posted that on this board. As part of my continued investment and due diligence I wanted some comfort so hence me reaching out to them. It may not transpire to those time lines but I feel better in my own decisions that I have tried to come to a balanced opinion. I never once said as you suggest that "I know people". If more people took the time to read, research, reach out to the companies they invest in perhaps they would arrive at different investing conclusions. AIM is a lottery, I have invested in it for well over 15 years. People follow people blindly into shares without as so much as even logging into the company website. Ultimately we are all here for the same reason to make some money, but we don't all follow the same investing path or logic.

Quantum...I am fully aware of that and have my own communication trail with their IR team. My point was 1. ABMckinley has set up an interview with Joe, widely known 2. They're obviously close to the company as they have received shares in lieu of consultancy advice (quiet what I have no idea) I am not suggesting insider info for one minute, but ABMckinley has bought 17m shares in the past week or so. Punt or something else?

I think Share Talk know an announcement is forthcoming. Check out Twitter @abmckinley (Founder and MD of Share Talk) recent post 1 hour ago. Cryptic message in my opinion and he’s investment £40k the other week. Plus did anyone notice in the AGM resolutions they were to receive options for consultancy fees? Go figure

Espen... I’m seeing the AGM just as a formality of normal corporate proceedings, nothing more. I still think something is brewing before then. Why do the interview otherwise?

Been musing the ShareTalk announcement of Joe’s interview. Why agree to an interview when you can’t really say much if matters are still ongoing? Would be a bit of a strange one.

Is it not therefore likely that this is a well timed opportunity to talk about a recent news announcement; would make far more sense.

I maybe getting a tad ahead here, but perhaps we might just be getting a nice surprise tomorrow morning. :-)

Thanks Gordon.....have you done any analysis on what is the recoverable value of oil/gas in the ground for the Oilex licences? I am just trying to piece this together.

Very difficult to put any enterprise value on Oilex just yet. Too many moving parts. I agree though based upon purely just the asset alone, gas in the ground, and now shortly to own 100%, we should hopefully be valued a lot higher than we are today.

Institutional investors who put up the funding to acquire will be looking at many multiples of return on their investment.

If he announces he is in, then others will follow. Not suggesting that is wise investment advice, but each to their own. He does pick well and has plenty of followers. He wasn't in a few weeks ago ??

L2 showing an UT of 23,900,000 from last auction. Now a 24,000,000 Sell Order has been showing in the last few days auctions. I suggest this has been a worked order by the MM's. Perhaps can let it go now.
