Given the slow progress to date, the complexity of Wood Group, and annoying side-shows like the ongoing FCA investigation, I expect June. In any case, JO's advice is to expect the worse and hope for the best. Investors (aka punters hoping for a quick win) ought not to be disappointed!
JO also says spare a thought for long-term investors and employees who have been well and truely led down the rather woody and murky garden path by Wood's senior management over the last several years, and as a result will make a loss. To those long-term investors who have taken the plunge and averaged down to circa 30p (and probably mortgaged the house to do so), well done - you can hopefully break even (or suffer only a few thousand in losses) when this sale is completed in HY2026.
