Lol BTW You are very selective in your 're-posts'. Why don't you dig up the posts I made when I bought at 18p - come to think of it I didn't mention my actual buys as I scooped them up without 'reporting' them to this Wood discussion board. However, it is absolutely clear that I was adding as per my posts at 18p. You also didn't mention my lucky £13K at .2050. As I mentioned recently, JO is seriously invested here i.e. in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, and I will not add unless the share price drops to 21p...that tells you all you need to know really. As mentioned, you do not need to worry about JO. Look after your own backyard.

You are not wrong. JO dipped his toe into the rather murky Wood water on teh Valentine's Day masacre. Since then JO has topped up, but 18p just priro to suspension was too good to pass up. No doubt several other savy investors did the same. JO is happy with his short-term Wood investment and looks forward to the completion of the sale of Wood to Sidara and the 30p per share. That said, JO would love it if Gruffalo was right and another late rival bidder entered the fray. However, JO is happy with 30p in any case, so no need for anyone to be 'concerned'. Lol

Take note Gruffalo. You are spending too much of your time and energy on the hope of 'rival bidders at 60-99p' (dreamed up inside your own head). Better that you look at other investment opportunities, or if your average is circa 60p as JOP suspects, then avergae down to a minimum 30p in order to break even when the sale of Wood to Sidara completes at 30p.

I think the Wood and Sidara 'relationship' is like the fox (Wood) and the hounds (Sidara). Wood has left its scent all through the forest over the past several months, Sidara has picked up and followed the trail with precision. Wood is now trapped, and Sidara has won hands (paws) down!

@Futurehire Thanks for the investment advice - but unlike your suggestions to all and sundry, JO will not buy at 24p - far too expensive. It seems the market agrees with JO's analysis, hence the Wood share price is stuck at 23-25p. JO has not 'missed the window'...as you know JO bought heavily at 18p. JO will buy at 21p (maybe 22.5p if the sun is out and the wind blows in the right direction)...however, at the moment the UK economy is on its knees, so 21p looks likely later in December to mid January. JO will add at 21p for sure - you can bet your 2-bed terrace house on it.

Wood contines to stay in the 23-25p range.

JO will keep his powder dry and will not add unless the Wood share price drops to 21 to 22.5p. The way the Wood share price is leaning more towards the dips than the ups, this is most likely to occur towards Christmas in December to early-mid January.

Look out for any adverse macro events, such as speculation on negative growth or recession or talk around the UK and possible IMF bailout...the UK is closer to recession than many think. That my friends is when the macro sharemarket will be dumped faster than a hot roast potato fresh out the oven on Christmas day...and therefore Wood will follow the macro market. That my friends is a to top up or avergae down if you have not done so when the Wood share price was 18-20p. IMO

Of course, it depends on each investor's average...

There is a reason that the Chaiman will stay on until the ink is dry on Sidara has bought Wood. It is a timely reminder to never invest more than you can afford to lose...goes without saying really.

@GRaff You are persistant if nothing else! I am sure that we all hope another bidder comes out of the 'woodwork'. However, no amount of contact by anyone here or anywhere else to possible rival bidders will infuence them as to whether or not they make a bid for Wood or not. The fact is the rival bidders would have shown their hand by now, and haven't done so. Better get used to 30p per share - that is as good as it gets.

@asartara @Icecool Apologies. You are right - Wood does have access to Sidara's $250 million. So now it is all down to the court approval, followed by the sale completion date.

@asartara I think it more likely they ought to confirm the first step i.e. whether or not the $250 million from Sidara has been recieved. Given that is a decent deposit/loan, it should have been an RNS on the subject. Given no RNS, we can only assume $250 million has not as yet been paid. If not, why not? Thursdays and Fridays are typically preferred as bank-solicitor settlement days for payments to occur. Maybe the RNS will be issued by COB today or 8am tomorrow.

@pennylots I am surprised that you received such an in-depth answer. I would have expected them to say what is under offer and information is commercially sensitive so we are unable to respond. Or something to that degree.
