@Evan in case you haven’t noticed I’m not the one throwing pot shots but when attacked, I will defend and especially by blatant lies spread by certain posters here. You can filter whoever you like. It always makes me laugh when someone filters someone else and proceeds to say I have just filtered you and then filters them… just to get the last word in.You may as well say so there! LOL

@Luka You may need to check with a doctor as your memory seems to be failing. You do not recall my posts at 18p prior to suspension when I was adding substantially. I even added at 20.5p with a ‘lucky’ £13K. But of course, you don't recall’ these…how convenient. It’s all there. Knock yourself out.. but you won’t look back to check before you post as it gets in the way of your narrative, besides the truth hursts! Lol

Luka before you make more of a fool of yourself, I suggest you post about Wood as no one wants to read your posts that are irrelevant to Wood. So take your toys and throw them out the pram somewhere else.

@Futurehire Fancy you Futurehire stalking my posts on Prudential's discussion board to post here. You are indeed desperate and a stalker to boot. FYI Garrone and JO go back quite a way back and we have had banter. Unlike you, he is funny. You ask what top investment tips do I have for you. I provided you with a couple of examples - one of which was Prudential Plc from £6.00 to £11. If you do not think that is a decent return then there is no hope for you. As I mentioned before if you want 'proof' then check when it was £6 and track back on my posts at the same time when I posted about Prudential and made it clear I had invested at £6.00 to date. That is evidence of my investment. If you think I will provide you with any top tips for you to cast your 'opinion' on, think again. As an investor, you are illiterate and you refuse to carry out your own research and due dilligence before investing. You are typical of a juvenile investor who follows the crowd. In the meantime, I will quite happily stick with my early-bird investments and stay invested at the right price and enjoy the climb up. Of course, my return in Wood will be substantial, but I already have a couple of investments which will provide decent returns. You say you don't want to talk to me...that's fine with me. Take your own advice and stop asking me dumb questions and DYOR on your own investments. Until then, keep buying your lotto tickets each week! Lol

The macro market is somewhat down - this time of year its all par for the course. In February-April 2026, Prudential will take off once more for obvious reasons. It's a case of whether or not you like to be the early-bird that catches the worm i.e. right place, right time and all that. Patience is all that is needed here, nothing less, nothing more.

@Luca Incorrect. Take a look at Prudential for dates when it was £6.00 then take a look at my posts as to when I invested. It's all there - I even called it at the low of £6.00 and went in big. The fact is the Prudential share price is now £11.00 and you don't like it. But rather than you DYOR - you would rather spout off BS and any other rubbish you can think of to attempt to discredit others. JO deals in facts, not wet dreams. Goodnight loser.

I told you to ride it out with Prudential but instead you sold out, then realised you made a serious mistake and bought back in. This time, keep calm and listen to JO - there is far more to come with Prudential yet.

@Luca Even if I provided you with top pick stocks, you would say 'rubbish'. When I invested in Prudential when it was £6.00 I had a couple of stalkers from the Capita board (EG Aimaster aka 'Aimless') asked for top tips then too...when I mentioned I has just invested in Prudential at £6.00 and it is at the bottom, they said I was full of cr**. As the Prudential price went up...silence from Aimless and her sidekick. I have left the Capita chat board (even though I am still reasonably invested in Capita) due to dumb remarks. To me, Luca you fall into the same category...you ask for advice and then block your ears and criticise the person who provided a couple of recent investments. This is why I do not provide investment as 'top tips' .I always have a minimum of 3-5 stocks at anyone time that I am interested in...when the price is right...and that will stay private. So in summary, do not ask JO for top investment tips, as I do not find you geniune. DYOR. Keep on topic and talk about Wood like most here do. Also, mind your language - it shows your true colours.

Holy smoke Batman! Gruffalo has just increased the current share price of 24p to Sidara's offer of 30p...to 130p!!! We're all in the money...thank you Gruffalo!!! You are simply the best! Lol

@Luca I could mention quite a number of investments that I have made 6 months back at near lows. EG Prudential Plc and Lloyds Plc both of which have done very well for me. However, this is a discussion room for Wood investors. Therefore, it makes no sense to talk about other investment opportunities here...besides that I do not provide investment advice...

Icecool would have a better idea as he understands fundamentals like noone else! Come to think of it, Graff (Gruffalo) can also predict the furture like nooine else!

Prudential is rock solid. It operates in growth areas in the Chinese and Asian economies. This has climbed from £6.00 to £11 and I have enjoyed the ride, I suggest other sit back and continue to do the same. Prudential is very well managed with plenty of capital growth to be had here. IMO

JO advises don't be in too much of a rush to buy more Wood shares. JO predicts Wood shares will drop further from current circa 23.5p. When Wood share price drops to 20-21p sometime in December-January, JO will add. Too many opportunities elsewhere at the moment to be bothered with Wood otherwise. No doubt other investors feel the same, hence the Wood share price remains in JO's predicted range of 23-25p until RNS announcement that 'Wood's sale to Sidara is expected to complete on X date'.

Although Gruffalo says there are several rival bidders ready, willing and able to pay 60-90p...

Roll up, roll up...someone....anyone...

Gruffalo, why the silence from the several rival bidders you say are chomping at the bit to buy Wood...not a peep from Wood or anyone?! Please explain.

@Futurehire I started to read your reply, but I only got to the second sentence and was so bored, I decided to watch my son's pert dwarf hamster run on his wheel instead. Very enthralling. I never knew dwarf hamsters could run quite so quickly and at such sustained speed...seems to defy normal power to weight ratios found in such rodents...I assume a hamster is a type of rodent...or is it...hmmm...

@Whatidsaytothat The difference is that Sidara need to 'play by the rules'. Whereas, JO can invest wherever,whenever, and for whatever reason he chooses. Besides JO called Sidara's takeover of Wood from the very start, even when the nay-sayers said otherwise and supported Icecool's post at almost every fantastical theory put out there by the Icey one. JO is confident that the deal will conclude. Therefore JO has invested heavily when the Wood share price was 18p just prior to suspension, when most other investors were selling out and not wanting to enter into suspension. JO always follows the smart moneyt and remains pragmatic about all his investments...Wood is no exception.

Interesting, but lets look at the facts:

Contrary to KS's opening sentance, KO just replied to JO. Therefore, KS has nothing better to do. KS has chosen not to filter JO, which is very wise and shows good judgement especially as KS knows JO is indeed a very successful investor. KS likes JO when JO talks in the third party, so KS would definately like it if JO talks in the fourth party...isn't that right JO? Yes indeed it is JO. KS is in stitches of laughter, which cannot be verified either way as KS does not include any smiley faces or Lol at the end of KS' posts. JO on the other hand expresses his laughter with Lol at the end of his posts.

On a much more serious note...has anyone seen katstrangler's cat lately...?

Ask yourself a question: Would you hand over cash in small chunks over time to buy a business you are interested in without formal documentation in place that confims the sale to you and that all terms and conditions have been met? Thought not.

Sidara is in the same boat. Sidara must now present and wait for court approval (i.e. offcial approval) of the scheme at the sanction hearing...it is not entirely beyond the possibility that shareholders may turn up at the court hearing to oppose (or support) the scheme for one reason or another. Further, antitrust and other regulatory approvals are required before the sale of Wood to Sidarra is 'rubber stamped'.

Given the above, any purchase of Wood shares by Sidara prior to completion carries an element of risk (albiet fairly low risk) i.e. in the event that the sale of Wood to Sidara is not formally approved by the 'powers that be'.
