@Luca I have made lots of statements on the Wood-Sidara situation as have many others here. You copy and paste one line with no other quote/context around it and expect me to reply. FYI 12 November is ancient history. Sidara has now bought Wood - do try to keep up old chum! Lol Without looking back at my posts - I imagine I made the statement around Sidara now being aware of Wood's audited accounts which have proven to be poor, therefore by definition there are bound to be other opportunities for Sidara with far less risk...of course that is balanced out by Wood's growth potential over the next several years. Swings and roundabouts and all that. I am not quite sure why you are concerned with Sidara and other opportunities...you do know that Sidara is a privately owned company - so there is no chance a minow like your good self can invest even 1p in Sidara. Now, if you are interested in Sidara DYOR...I'll help you a little...take a look at the link below you will see examples of the companies that Sidara have bought. As you will see Sidara invests in wide-reaching companies that add value to its brand, all of which were succesful businesses in their own right....so you do the math...or is it maths?! Enjoy. Lol

Wood have already stated they have not been in any discussions with any other interested parties. This is locked and loaded, Sidara and Wood will soon be ready for completion within the first 6 months of 2026.

As mentioned, previously JO thinks the Wood share price will settle at circa 24-26p overall...more like 24-25p.

Still plenty of time for LTH to buy more and average down and then take the full 30p at completion.

JO will happily wait for the full 30p. At the moment the macro stock market is topsy-turvy and on the downward trend overall, which will continue up to and probably well after Reeves budget. Whereas, Wood's 30p per share return is a 99.9% certainty, so JO will take that any day orf the week and twice on Sunday!

Doubt that Sidara will buy as certain regulations to pass yet. Besides 30p circa $200 million is chicken feed to Sidara. More importantly, Wood will shortly have $250 million cash injection from Sidara and $200 million new credit from Wood's lenders. Iain the new CEO will steer Wood very well throughout this transition period.

@Icecool 'It’d be a legal minefield for anyone to jump in now. On a No vote, the door was wide open, clean slate, easy pivot. But with the Yes locked and 75% secured, Sidara have effectively built a legal fortress around this deal. I totally underestimated how stacked the game was from day one, Clause A, Clause C, and the board choreography made it near impossible for resistance to build real momentum. I was hoping for a proper institutional rebellion… but with only a 40% turnout, that resistance never materialised. Sidara played the long game, and now that they’ve crossed the line, they’re not letting go. Extremely unfortunate, however you can’t change the results!'

@FrogglesBoggles Agreed. Wood has been mis-managed completely, in almost every way imaginable. I would say 99% of businesses fail, not due to factors such as competition or any other 'excuse' under the sun, but always it is down to poor management. Wood proves this to be the case, unfortunately.

With the chances at 0 to 5%...you can put JO down as a 'No' to any other bidders. Frankly if Wood cannot raise the cash via institional investors (capital raise), or via lenders (debt for equity), then why would another bidder enter the fray now? Sidara is the natural buyer and they have effectively bought Wood for 30p, the rest is formalities. Wood has confirmed it has been in zero discussions with alternatve bidders. Game over. In fact, it may just be easier that you apologise to JO now and get it over with.

If another bidder comes in...bring it on! JO has a very large stake in Wood and will be more than happy for a second bidder to enter the fray. However, with respect Gruffallo, JO will wait for Wood's RNS to confirm the same, rather than rely on Grufallo's bluff and bluster about a scone bidder for a minimum of 60p. Dreams are free (especially wet dreams), so keep dreaming Gruffy-boy.

Seriously though Gruff is saying that JO is a fraud. However, JO sticks firmly to facts, which is that Wood will be sold to Sidara for 30p as per the recommendation of teh Wood BOD etc. This has come to pass today. Unlike Gruff who makes up rubbish about offers of 60p plus. Gruff is the fraudster that is my point and I am entitled to make it.

As you say, the best time to trade ought to be from 8am as the shorts exit and opportunits enter. Not sure the Wood share price will hit 28-29p...if it does it won't be for long! I cannot help but think this share price will rise, but then settle at circa 25-26p for the simple reason that many investors will exit at that point than wait until the first six months of 2026 for the full 30p.

With the macro stockmarket trend down recently...lots of investors will sit and wait on the sidelines for Reeves' budget and look at which way the wind blows afterwards, then strike hard and fast!
