Each to their own Romanbi. I suggest you take your 'challenge/contention' up with Sidara who initially thought 35p was 'fair', then took a closer look and decided 30p was 'fair'. After that you can take it up with Wood's BOD who agreed 35p and then 30p was 'fair'...along with several advisor companies to Wood who all agreed Sidara's offer of 30p was 'fair'. Is that fair enough?!

@FrogglesBoggles If the vote is passed it will be binding. If 'Yes' the Sidara transaction will proceed. If 'No' the Sidara offer is off the table. Any would-be bidder really needs to declare interest or make an offer before the vote ASAP. I would have thought if an RNS is not in by 2pm tomorrow, then there will be no second bidder.

Of course Graff says otherwise. Graff says several rival bidders will definately ride in at the last minute and the minimum we as investors will receive will be 60p.

@FrogglesBoggles I have not looked into it - without another bidder it becomes a moot point. JO is confirdent it will be a 'Yes' vote - the big boys in town (institutional investors) will make sure of that. IMO

as for the'bid': the reality is that under the sidara offer, wood investors receive a return (of sorts) at 30p. compared to the closing price of 18p and the current price of circa 22-24p, 30p is fair. sidara want to buy wood as it will fit comfortably into their business model, and also for it's growth prospects over the next several years. of course wood needs sorting out so it can become cash-flow positive again (after 9 long years) and reduce debt, which will happen with sidara's cash injection....then profits ought to be generated.

As mentioned previously, JO thinks there is a 10% chance of another bidder (take it in this time!). IF it happens, it depends on the details of the offer. If the offer is 40p, of course the Wood share price will rise to 38-42p in anticipation of a bidding war. None of this is rocket science. Then again, for some...maybe it is.

More assets than debt?! You need to read Wood's accounts and commentary...Wood's net debt is over -$1 billion! It's rarely a good idea to sell off profit generating assets to manage liquidity. If the vote is 'No' to Sidara's offer, Wood it will be a capital raise and/or debt ro equity swap under a credit scheme. Wood has said as much. Current Wood investors will be left with peanuts. For the benefit of Johnychainlocker JO said it first. Lol

Easy the vote is not certain...no vote is ever 100% certain. If the vote for Sidara's deal is declined, Wood needs cash and super fast via capital raise/scheme...therefore, Wood current investors are toast. IMO

While it is true JO mentioned Apollo is the natural buyer for Wood - outside Sidara that is - when JO first bought into Wood...however, since then the Sidara-Wood-Wood-lenders relationship is bonded. So any would be bidder, would have loads of work to do...if it were so inclined.

So Johnnycomelately, it is not JO that holds the answer to your question.

Not sure how that can be possible without an RNS on a new bidder. On the positive, anyone buying this week will be in it to vote 'Yes' to their circa 30% ROI when/if the Sidara deal is approved. No doubt there will be a few Wood private investors with an average over 30p who will buy to try to drop their average to 30p or less.

@Sufcessex If another bidder comes into play with a better offer on Monday or Tuesday, the Wood share price will rocket. However, I only put a lowly 10% chance of that. Never say never (hecne the 10%)!
