I am sure GH has a order of calls he would be making first, ahead of the rubber stamping and release of results. Newmont for one would have not stepped back in the way they said without leaving an open door for GGP to give them a heads up, based on the minimum that will have them interested in.

If there is indeed any delay on results, in particular EG and I do not discount good or bad news as none of us know. However if EG is good then what we cannot discount for sure is that with the previous collaboration between GGP & NM you can be assured both would have agreed to resume a very high level discussion on any early signs of positive results given the relationship that would have been forged last year. No way good news on EG results would be announced and NM hear this at the same time as the rest of us. We will never know of course unless renewed interest or more is mentioned at the same time results are out.

RTC the reason they do not need or want to go out to all investors is primarily, they do not need to as they are able and cheaper to fund from a select few. Secondly, if they went out to all, then it would be in the public domain and given the Aim market has a high percentage of short term traders, just imagine the rush to sell knowing there is a discounted placing open to all. I am happy they have got their funding and trust in the longer term it will benefit all investors in particular those who look beyond 2p

Just for information only. Placed shares can be traded or moved well before the shares are , on the market so to speak.
When they placing is announced it is common for the company broker who is issuing the shares to match up an electronic transaction with the firm / and account of the placees. The trades will have a forward settlement date I.E. 10 August at which point the shares transfer. As there is in effect a purchase on the placees dealing account there is nothing to stop them entering a sale or transfer transaction as long as the settlement date is equal or greater than, in this example 10 August.

The monster buys, I presume the 2 x 8m could just as easily be a put through and the in the know MM s have done the before and after reporting, the rest on the expected PI interest. Sucking in on Thursday and locking in on Friday with no news. Call me cynical, but there you go.

Where many are trying to time the update on EG which is now due according to the RNS of 19 July. Traders or investors who are trigger happy and been looking for an entry point and the small swing today has done it for them. Anticipation on the EG update is now at all time high but will quickly, as always, turn to concern if there is silence over next few trading days.

Ah you are some guru, so you did not buy any GGP shares under 1p like us mugs. You now intend to buy at around 1.13 during the drag down to nothingness. We all lose, but you lose by a bigger percentage than most. Glad you clarified your strategy.

I really do not give a flying F what you say you intend to buy in at, as you always forget to add one critical word that adds weight to your otherwise meaningless statement serious investors or traders will understand.

Marky, now he was a right joker. So many followed his ramps as well. If you had researched his posts you would have found he was TOPPING UP at about 7p not long after the self called LTH first appeared on the board.

Exactly TRC . My point being it can only be the unresearhed & uninformed that would sell now unless desperate. If placed shares were sold, that would have been forward settlement when at 1.29 for SD 10 Aug

There are still sellers about ? Then I read posts about 3 major holders and trades that are the placing coming onto the market. That answers my question.

The answer is the placed shares are made to the few with a guarantee they AND ANY MM or BROKER who underwrite and take up any slack will make a quick turn. The purpose of the general PI s is for them to buy the offloaded placed shares at a premium then carry the longer term risk.

If there is any manipulation then focus on who is holding the circa 35%. Not on the shares held by the nominee company’s

I have said this all along. Most PI s cannot borrow to short, they can only use CFDs

The MM s have them but I think it is a wee bit more than just 11%

Was the aggressive talk and work undertaken would potentially expense the available cash in bank. Quietly hoped GGP would raise a bit more and glad they have. Totally relaxed and looking forward to the news flow for rest of this year.

Always said the planned work at EG was guilt funded. So in the context of the placing I read this as do fund more & quicker work elsewhere.

Then put some trust into the investors in the placing who would have put some hard questions to GH before investing more of their cash. Obviously a Q&A session behind closed doors but they must be convinced on the potential here to up there stakes.
