Totally agree with HAT as it minimises risk. No sophisticated investor would have been selling at loss as in the 26k example when all they would need to have added is a sell CFD to the example and then close out at 1.72 with a buy CFD to break even.

There may be some novelty value in a 1st Brokers note and they may take the SP up on a few early door buys but I doubt there will be enough to trigger any sustained rise. As soon as the buys fade they will be taking it down again on a tighter spread ching ching to realise a little trading profit

HAT I’m still very happy with NC on board just wish there was a little caveat included in the deal if results were to be above expectations.
Perhaps something for GH to keep in mind in future negotiations.

You are correct Yorkshire but in GGPs case they are collectively long of GGP. Probably up to around the maximum their risk allows them to.
Why ? In my opinion their strategy is to basically trade on and between each RNS while maintaining a core holding. They make a small profit turning stock around within the month.
The core holding is the slack the market will soak up on the RNS which will truly be a game changer for GGP. That one is getting closer each day.

There has been much of this on the board recently. If either NC or even Rio - who themselves could have good reasons to take out GGP before and in the believe more promising results would become known to NC . I
I do think they will at least if not now, will soon get to a point where they will consider a T/O of GGP on the basis of potential. The premium obviously would be less than that for definitive results . If this does happen I would much prefer a share offer as at least in the longer term the return on investment will be higher.

Who in their right mind would consider a T/O at this point when we do not know the true value of the asset. If all results were published for all projects then fair enough but that is way in the future.

Although this could still go either way what are the thoughts if results are as good as expected,

Actual shares held is just over 0.5 pc the rest are by equity swaps. Could the actual shred be a stock borrow ?

Jerry, part of the MM s responsibility’s are to maintain a market in the stocks they are registered. they may or may not take a strategic position but they do have to take on the stock that the market is not buying.
Do the maths and tell us who you think holds the missing 20 plus percent of GGP and is not reported ?

Chris, if you are referring to the MMs holdings just look at the major shareholders list vs total shares in issue. There is a huge amount not accounted for and much of that will be the MMs who do not report there holdings.

Sales are if no concern and only a fraction of a percentage of the company. The MMs are just keeping volume ticking over, they currently own on my best estimate between 10 and 15 percent of GGP and they will not be giving them away either. At least not until news arrives that will really make them let it go.

There is always differing opinions on the back of an RNS like this last one. Have read posts the SP is heading to the 1.5 level. MMs know there are always differing opinions so have picked up around 10m extra shares on trading so far. Unlikely this will drop as they will take this up again , at least temporarily to make a profit. After that we shall see

You need to understand as past experiences have proved, even with good results at Black Hills the SP may hit 2.5 plus but I would unlikely stay there for long. More like find a new level somewhere between 2 and 2.5
That in my book is progress and sure the warrant holders are looking for same.
