Was under no illusion this was the big RNS in fact as I said last night it was perfect more discoveries to come.

Yes perhaps there are a few mid-reported trades but not all of them. The main point is the MMs are more than happy to take on more shares on their already significant long positions, they know there would be sellers this morning for a a number of reasons so the cherry on top of the cake is they have them cheap.

If the MMs did not like the news and then followed by 20m sales v 5m buys this would drop like a stone.
It hasn’t so tells me the MMs we’re happy to pick up the 20m from a small percentage of PI’s who do not understand the market.

Traders will be active tomorrow, new investors and some may be happy to exit so the SP is likely to bounce around and who knows where it will end up or down. All depends on net demand.
If you are asking about a broker note re rate unlikely to see that tomorrow as they usually take time to go through internal processes and sign off before being released. Could be a week or so away before if any , if at all is released.
If there is one tomorrow then it is an even better indicator of how good today’s news actually is.

So sod the SP games over the next break period on news. Now we can really relax and enjoy how this plays out.
The best news is there are more step outs and deeper drills. Today’s report was perfect as easily could have defined a limit to the boundaries of the resource.

Agreed, news even good for GGP can easily be just bread and butter reporting from NC and taken as such by the market.
To put things into perspective there is not one post this week on Hot Copper / Newcrest discussions from any Aussie mentioning Hav in the context of tonights reporting.

Newtothisgame - the MMs I reckon hold around 15% of the shares. If you look at the reports of major shareholders you will see the Nominee companies that represent the majority of us PIs . You will also see the institutional investors and the likes of SB PLUS the reported GGP directors etc. That all totals about 70% and been consistent over last few years. There will be some % of the remaining 30% held by some small brokers for Pis but at least half , let’s say 15% must be held by one or more MMs

That was my point did not need to be said as surely HAV in the here and now must be key as can secure future exploration on all the other potentials. So why say it’s key for us .....2 possible scenarios 1. He already knows HAV is in the bag 2. It’s not!!!

(b) would definitely not be said 3 days before a major update, if there was anything other than Positive news expected!
You could, and I only mean could, also interpret this as he knows it’s not good news coming from Hav so has diverted attention to another project with potential. I still think it’s the NC report that is the priority in the heat and now for GGP and he must know what will be coming out Thursday

Agree they are very encouraging results for near surface gold. It does not drop out the sky so drilling is going to be VERY exciting. More good news on other projects then hopefully cash up out Hav stake to finance them so next time we will take exploration further and will be selling 100% of assets at in the ground value.

I take no offence on anyone who disagrees with my view and I will be more than happy to be wrong on every count GLA but keep it real.

As critically important and pivotal to the direction GGP as a company will take in the future the results are not the be all and end all. Even if up to expectations there will be more work and confirmations required from NC well into next year so still gives our MM friends the ability to underplay any true value of assets while still buried underground.
Just as important for GGP and our investment in them will be ongoing results on our other licences as this will give the board a stronger hand in any future negotiations with NC , if and when we hopefully get to a position to monetise our stake in Hav. Do not be under any illusion that NC would through buckets cog cash for our % . They will want it as cheap as possible and without other proved up assets NC may easily play for time ie: wait till GGP coffers are running low.
Still a long game to be played but good news this week will be a. Welcome next step.

Tis all speculation let’s just get the next piece of the jigsaw in place - if it fits the picture like we all hope it will.

Just remember we are awaiting results so on any positive side news they have s reason to take it up and attract a few buyers.
They will drop it by end of day of that I’m sure

Aandi , is the plant capable of processing the volume of ore , the below report suggests the historic average is lower than 1m and suggests the3 2018 production of just under half a million ounces was still good



Telfer

Newcrest’s Telfer mine in the eastern Pilbara is one of the oldest in Australia, producing around 6 million ounces of gold between 1975 and 2000, when operations were suspended due to high operating costs. Work resumed in 2004 and the mine has since produced over 5 million ounces, producing 425,536 ounces in the 2018 financial year alone. The mine also produces copper, generating 16,212 tonnes of the metal in 2018.

Jersey, I guess Institutional investors have already acted and are investing more into NEWCREST at this point

The reason the market reacts like this is
1. We are in between REAL NEWS
2. GH news does not matter but...
3. The market knows there would be a percentage of shareholders would take it negatively so are making some profit turning around the blip in volume.

Here is not a buyer for every seller in the context of Pi or Institutional investors. The Market Makers take the sales and they can be the buyers so the price drops as their holdings / risk increases
