For Jason to say that the tripartite agreement will be signed in December, then a date must be set, Jason has known the results of both the Morocco trial and the Aquafuel tests including the now clear pathway for Net Zero, which already exists, just needs tweaking, all this info is also known by the counterparties, COP 28 would seem the most likely place for the collaboration to take place, what we don't know is if any of our guys are attending.

The information in todays RNS is ground-breaking and if you go back to bashermans excellent post from yesterday you will see how important the Quadrise offering is for all in the shipping industry, there is no other offering that is scalable. Hard to think that there is no disclosure at such a significant event that is being attended by a such crucial audience.

The tests reported:

✔ New bioMSAR™ formulations containing waste-based methyl esters reduced CO2 emissions by over 45%, increased engine efficiency by up to 7% and also significantly reduced NOx and CO emissions, providing a new pathway to bioMSAR™ Zero

✔ Negligible visible smoke from both bioMSAR™ formulations

A recent joint declaration by major shipping company CEOs at COP 28 called for an end date for fossil-fuel only powered newbuild vessels and urged the IMO to create the regulatory conditions to accelerate the transition to green fuels. This reinforces the importance of our bioMSAR? programme in helping to secure the energy transition as we look to meet the needs of our current and prospective clients.

Quadrise and our commercial partners are excited by these results and we look forward to progressing the testing programme to the next stages, with the intention upon successful testing to offer our first fossil-free bioMSAR Zero? product at commercial scale in advance of 2030."

The name that I was referring to that Jason has given the net zero product was the one that he mentioned a few dozen times at the AGM and the recent video.

Net-zero fuels already exist, but due to cost and availability, these are currently not feasible for adoption at scale.

Quadrise is developing a commercially-competitive net-zero fuel, ‘bioMSAR Zero’, to be ready for launch by latest 2030. This also involves the replacement of the hydrocarbon element of our fuels with a zero-carbon or even a carbon-negative substitute.

Progress is already being made in this regard through our development of bioMSAR™ using various waste biofuels.

BioMSAR Zero has the potential to disrupt the marine and industrial biofuel markets with a scalable, clean, stable, safe and cost effective net-zero ‘B100’ biofuel.

This last statement would suggest that we are allot closer to net Zero than the board are letting on, they have even given it a name. Update this morning would be nice or maybe Monday after Budd has had his word on it,

Biofuel supply is set to come under strain as more industries, not least aviation, compete over the available product. While biofuel blends have been a convenient drop in alternative for shipping so far, some international discussion will need to focus on how alternative, sustainable feedstock can be provided, so that shipping can remain an off taker of the biofuels that re not suitable for the road and aviation sectors.

Pretty much the words that Jason used to to describe what Quadrise offers, didn't he say at the AGM that Quadrise were the only company at present that have the technology to use the sustainably available feedstock and turn it into shipping fuel, Roll on the Aquafuel / Vertoro results.

Burning #sugars in engines may seem like an outlandish idea, but our partner Quadrise Plc has already conducted successful trails on a Cummins Inc. diesel engine at Aquafuel Research Limited with our EU REDII (IX-A) compliant Crude sugar oil (#CSO®) in their #BioMSAR® formulation.

This CSO is EU compliant, there may be a surprise that it can slip into play without a LONO, there is only a small amount of water in the bio mix, that might be able to be replaced by glycerine.

Quadrise Plc is working on some promising hashtag#glycerol - heavy residual oils blends (hashtag#BioMSAR) together with MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company.

Through our ongoing efforts with Quadrise Plc, our crude sugar oil (hashtag#CSO) will hopefully also soon be part of the hashtag#BioMSAR family, thereby allowing us to help hashtag#decarbonize existing vessels as well.

Should get these promising results this week.
