Hi Vince, this from IR,
The HAZOP is independent of the dry dock activities and is a detailed risk assessment that’s carried out by the Class Society and involving MSC, Quadrise and Wartsila to ensure all aspects of the safety and operability of the main engine and vessel/crew are reviewed and any potential risks mitigated.
This is a normal step to be carried out prior to testing a new fuel on a commercial vessel, we completed similar exercises for MSAR prior to the Maersk trials.
The vessel will be ready to receive the fuel once dry-dock activities and the HAZOP are completed. Fuel supply is a parallel activity, and we need to finalise agreements with a third party and MSC to supply the trial volumes. Shareholders will be notified accordingly in due course.
My understanding has been that the parties will carry out the Haz/Op on the ship, what you say is plausible but if it was the case I would have thought it would have been done by now, they have the template from the Maersk trial to make it more straightforward, either way lets hope its announced completed soon, Monday is good for me.
