I would also hazard a guess that the signing of the agreements for Cargill to supply the worlds biggest shipping company to trial a fuel which can reduce shipping emissions by up to 50 percent to be a big deal, a date would need to be set for the three heads of the companies to sign in front of the media, the date is anyone’s guess

The initial goal is to procure bunker fuel for Cargill and Maersk Tankers’ combined fleet, while aiming to attract additional customers in the coming months. The service will leverage Cargill’s in-house bunker expertise and Maersk Tankers’ commercial and operational capabilities and will launch on April 1, 2021.

Another shipping company involved in getting these fuels through testing wouldn’t be a bad idea, MSC are holding out for something, probably financially related, get the permits sorted if not already done and get Cargill to go a step further and offer up a ship to carry out testing, two birds, one stone.

Within a month we will have the interim results, within 3 months we have to have some notification of funding unless the board have turned into magicians.

Hard to think now that we know we have Cargill onboard that the tripartite agreement will be dragged out much further, could have some association with Morocco supply. 4 months we should be updated on the BTG triparnership to include a shipping line to test the new bio fuel. The future is definitely bright, we just need the ducks to play ball and get lined up.

Quadrise are working with industry leaders MSC and Cargill on commercial trials of bioMSAR™ on board the vessel MSC Leandra. Vessell bunkering will take place at the MAC2 facility in in Antwerp, Belgium and the trial will consume around 10,000mt of bioMSAR™ over a rigorous test regime. Upon successful completion, bioMSAR™ will then be rolled out across additional vessels in the MSC fleet and will also be available to other global shipping operators.

I recall the amount of fuel for Lono was 25000 tonnes of each fuel for the full 4000 hours, has this changed through the current negotiations to 10000 tonnes
