RE: Frr must have very compelling22 Nov 2018 21:42
Why don’t we just wait and see how this plays out. Informed opinion of what the law is and how this is likely to play out is useful in helping form a decision on what to do but to quote Definitions of various parts of the RNS and then somehow shape that try and predict what is going to happen is meaningless imo. Anyone who has followed any court proceedings in these type of situations will know that these outcomes cannot be easily predicted are usually subject to confirmation bias and the vagaries of different laws in varying jurisdictions and the likelihood that these cases can drag on and often end up in a compromise or OOC settlement.
Just so everyone understands standard US pharma practice on compensation packages smongst the BOD is relatively low Salary’s and much more towards share options so yes they are risk free but they will have sacrificed a lot money ie salary or guaranteed bonus,s so if the SP does not move up they miss out big time.
Ian absolutely When me and GL worked at Merck we had a conversation along the lines of we did not worry if the SP dropped as we at the time could do little about it and only had a few thousand share options but both said the CEO who had millions of options would do something about it if he could as it would be worth a hell,of a lot more. Now GL has millions of options here and he will want a much higher SP at some stage as will the institutions whose average is much higher than here. If you have millions worth of options why would buying 100k or 200k of shares prove.
Not engaging but not going to let absolute lies be posted without reply. There is no idol worship or ramping going on here as long term holders well know.Of course there is confidence when you have researched MTFB and have a lot invested here.Yiu are hardly likely to be negative like some. Nothing wrong with asking questions and probing but when you totally refuse to accept the answers then that tells you a lot. Once again in US Pharma they do not buy shares in their own Company but there whole rewards package is biased towards performance and that is usually in share options etc and are totally aligned with SH.The US is different to the usual behaviour of AIM Company’s. How is MTFB teetering on the brink with lots of cash in the bank. This is a blatant lie.If they had confirmed HABP people would be saying how will they fund it so if they do need cash you should be pleased they are preserving cash. What changes to European submission. The last presentation is the first time it has been given a timeline.so how can it be delayed. Look at Shelties SP predictions and most on here agree he has been conservative but hardly life changing except maybe if you hold for a long time. These conferences are largely not about supporting the SP but raising the science and commercial profile of Ickaprim. In US they need to do a lot more to raise awareness but in UK the level of strong support from institutions is there.Just look at the SH register. If you expect the drug to be Approved then you are with the majority on here but think you will find fault with that or say it is priced in.Guarantee that on Approval this will rise strongly as it did a year ago when P3 results were announced. That is how this works. You have a clear agenda and it is not about raising genuine questions for discussion. We have seen over the months a number of specific posters like Catscan and you seem a clear reincarnation and always appear at certain times in the the same way the SP is sold into on positive news updates by a large number of ATs sometimes an abnormal number. Think 200+ was the record so hardly the action of normal market mechanics
Interesting responses. Ian totally agree about not a good thing to issue a RNS saying discussions are ongoing as this would feed into doubters. All these advanced discussions will be under NDAs so cant say anything until news.Itvus clear from presentations that the iartnership route is still the avenue they are pursuing.
Kelsbells I think all options are on the table. From a deal to provide upfront payment to JVs to a distribution agreement or a more formal merger or buy out.Agre also about the possibility of a bigger business taking this forward as having a portfolio of ABs becomes a much more attractive longer term proposition in terms of either going alone or a future big pharma buy put
Morning Hannibal Yes market uncertainty not helping ATM but we can’t influence that. This is pretty liquid for an AIM Company and yes a few small funds/individuals may be moving to cash but the institutional support here is very strong. They have been very supportive and we have no TR1s suggesting they have sold any.I also know that they are very confident here and that have not been panicked by the SP movement here which has been going on for over 12 months despite the progress made. There were no presentations at Jefferues only discussions and no one on here knows how they have gone but certainly the right deal is so much better than a bad deal. MTFB could have done a deal in the past but why settle for a poor one when there is confidence in a good one. A bit like investing here if you are desperate for the money as you need it urgently then sell up or like MTFB do a deal OR if you can wait out until the SP recovers or you can do a more favourable deal then it makes sense imo to wait. MTFB are not desperate they can afford to wait and the delay in HABP was a strategic decision imo due related to something that the BOD wanted to preserve their cash position which give them access to options. I do not mean simply to commercialise themselves as this is very much a last resort option.ztge preferred routes as stated on countless occasions remain on track for a partnership deal.
I remember Puddy commentating about watching SN but then he made a comment about the panelist’s kegs do not sure he was totally focused on the energy issues lol
Ambassador Wilson was Director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, where he led the Council’s work on the former Soviet states, Turkey, and regional energy issues.
Yep both me and Sheltie are fairly exposed here but probably would both concede it is a bargain but could of course go lower so I am personally waiting for low before adding. Of course there are concerns as with any AIM share and as others have said is probably more commercial than re FDA Approval decision. But important to get right deal.So if for instance they had done a partnership deal with AKAO or PRTK then sure many would have said great but what would they be saying now. So if you are long like myself I am happy to wait. As for delaying of HABP could add it might just to be waiting for right partner deal to provide funding. It could also be they partner with a Company already with a HABP/VABP or CABP indication so that might influence their decision on start date or HABP. Or they may be waiting for Approval for ABSSSI as the 21st Century Cures Act together with other current or proposed US govt legislation on ABs may influence the type and scope of phase 3 trials for Iclaprim in HABP so they may want to get Approval out if the way first. I don’t know which of these possible influences may or may not impact on MTFB moving forward but have confidence in the them choosing the best option so am happy to wait.
Morning. Basically if you are on Twitter then if you follow any of the main thread posters it is likely they are in private group and can add you. Or if you are happy to put your twitter name on here then it may be people can add you to group although it is pretty full. If like me you post under your real name on Twitter you may want to keep it off a public BB.Again due a technical issue I have had to set up a new Twitter account probably easier to identify others to add you ATB
Agree Agema, I am certainly no great lover of JC but recognise the threat. The old Labour Party and Trade Union slogan of United we Stand and Divided we Fall has a lot of truth to it. Pity the Politicians seem mainly to only think about themselves rather than the greater good
Morning Agema feel you raise an important point. Many people are totally hacked off with mainstream politics and events of last week will only convince many more that politicians are mainly self serving and feel increasingly disenfranchised. Many politicians and their ardent supporters live in a bubble and forget that to get any majority you need to attract large swathes of the middle ground. The likes of Tony Blair readily tapped into this although he attracted a lot of hate from both sides. Theresa May who does seem to be a decent person and string sense of duty has IMO made some crucial mistakes including calling the last election and not delivering a more acceptable deal or trying harder to secure the middle ground by standing up more to the hard right in her own party. We know everyone labels Cot to as a hard left extremist with no chance of power. Well he has largely united the Labour Party and has tapped into a large of the did conyent by energising the youth and other groups who feel disconnected with politics. If those in the Bubble continue to squabble they might just get another bloody nose. You think the Brexit result may have caused them to question their own thoughts but I suspect many of these people are only interested in their own thoughts. Only posting in the light of non SCLP matters as the B.B. is quite on these things and we do live in historic times ATB
