Have been in here a while as impressed with science and commercial side.As for testing there are 3 main areas to look at imo.
1.PCR via a lab.Several good tests already available and yes demand exceeds supply but that is not game.
here.
2.Rapid and cheap PCR based test not needing a lab,This is what saliva test is all about plus don’t forget the Mologic tie up using affirmer to develop their rapid test with Pasteur institute in Africa.
3,There is the Antibody test which so far have not proved accurate.

With diagnostic tests you need 2 things specificity and sensitivity to ensure minimum of false positives and false negatives.

The Approved PCR based tests have proved they are accurate but the other 2 areas are game changers in exactly the same way and yes there are many Company's making claims but to have the validation of the collaboration announced on Wednesday here is a huge endorsement.

Sure we will get some money back here and have been in here a few months but yes the other one dud leave us both scarred.At least you should be far happier with the CEO here lol.

No worries but I really think this bounce is not about the leak of a deal or some attempt to get some value for Iclaprim.Like many I lost heavily on the St Valentine’s Day massacre but am long over it and sold out a while ago.
I only ever intended to come back in on actual news as I would be able to judge that but was very aware of a few shrewd folk who had taken a position here mainly due it being such a low market cap it offered a good chance for a pharma to RTO.Plus there was always the chance of a Iclaprim link with Covid 19 therapy being a very good AB in a lung and respiratory setting ( of course an Un Approved AB).
My initial thought was not to come in today for what would have been a pure trade but I did succumb in the end but only for a small punt and did not enjoy anything like the rise that many on here got today.

Happy to try and answer any questions in the history here but I really don’t think the rise today is anything to do with Iclaprim or a deal but who knows.
If a deal is announced then this will be worth a lot lot more but I do not expect one.

I do think we can learn a lot about other religions to try and get a better understanding of how it can shape peoples beliefs and behaviour.
I think the more I have traveled the more I am struck by the similarities and views shared by different races and creeds rather than differences.

It is not listed on Nasdaq anymore as was below minimum mkt cap requirement so if you look at Nasdaq price quote it will show a big drop but that is from months ago.

Very good point Chester and you can see across the board some huge risers on many companies linked to Covid 19 whether or not the science is validated or not.
I would be very surprised if no thought had been given within SCLP as to whether any of their science could be utilised in the fight against Covid 19 but in the absence of any update we are simply left to speculate.

Yep a serology test based on measuring IgM and IgG is a simpler affair.
The beauty is they are looking to develop this Antigen text using saliva and eliminates need for a lab.They are using affirmer technology in the Mologic PCR planned test.
Plus also the antibody tests is likely to be a similar format to saliva trust but will need to use whole blood

Nice earlier post but as you and others have recognised there are no easy solutions moving forward and yes the science will hopefully point out the options but it is the politicians who will ultimately decide the future course of action.They will have to balance the various multi factorial issues and like you I do not envy them the choice and responsibility
Yes they will be relatively protected in economic terms but face a huge personal responsibility as do the frontline NHS and other staff who in addition face real risks to their life.
As Bermuda says there is a whole underbelly of hidden consequences of “ lockdown” re mental well-being and domestic violence and Inanaco has warned off the consequences of minimising the economic consequences and the related health consequences.
At the moment it us all about environment big the lockdown and flattening the curve to minimise the deaths and pressure on the NHS.
The govt imo is rightfully taking it step by step based on evidence in UK and elsewhere and then making decisions in a logical way.
There is no right way as the evidence is not there and yes the govt like all of us would probably do something’s differently with the benefit of hindsight but that apply to everything in life.
Yes we all need to learn the lessons from this to better plan the future but now is not the time for point scoring as this is far too important a threat to pretend there us a simple solution or easy way out.
I salute all people in the front line in this fight especially the NHS,care workers etc but also the scientists and politicians from all sides some of whom we may not agree with but I recognise as human beings have very difficult choices to make on behalf of the nation.
