Because i read all the information i have, and i do due diligence. So, unless VR is offered to me, and it will have to be the right package, then i won't be going anywhere.
And despite the fear factor kicking in all over the place, it doesn't work with me.

I see that Royal Mail are still recruiting managers. There'll be more of them than posties soon.

I do. I hate the thought of anyone losing money. Unfortunately, some who post here think it's perfectly okay for a postie to have their earnings stripped away from them. And i don't mean the pay rise. Just so their dividends can be shored up.

I cannot speak for mail centres. I assume that you are tasked as and when appropriate. So, reasonable request.
In delivery, it's a whole new ball game.
That's what some of the less knowledgeable cannot see.
Sure. I get Maximas1's point of view. But only if this point of view had substance. But this individual doesn't get mine.
At the end of the day all of our times will be monitored. And about time too.
Thompson thinks it will make the business leaner and more cost effective. I can guarantee that this will not happen.
As soon as the blue-collar worker adheres to the new way of Royal Mail working, the share price goes down the pan.
It won't only be letters and untracked parcels that aren't being delivered!

For every minute they may make in delivery, they will lose 20.

That is, it will cost Royal Mail money. And therefore, be to the detriment of your huge investment.

How can anyone sneak home early?
Once again, i don't think you've grasped what i'm saying here.
Let's break this down. Let's assume that i come in early every day by 30 minutes. Let's assume that i do not take a meal break, 40 minutes. Let's assume i go home 40 minutes before my finish time.
In this instance i am giving Royal Mail 30 minutes of my time. Every day.

From 01/11/2022 i will have to scan out. If i scan out early i will owe Royal Mail time. Annualised hours, flexi hours, call it what you want. So, to mitigate this, i will not come in early by 30 minutes and i will take my meal break. Thereby costing Royal Mail 40 minutes. Or failing every day.
Of course, i'm using me as an example. I would never finish early.

A very small acronym, but very big changes.
In one fell swoop, Royal Mail have destroyed the one thing that they had in their pocket.
As soon as staff are "MADE" to stay to their times, that's when the business will see a huge shift in achieving to complete your duty in the required time.
So, for the non Royal Mail employees. Why would i come in 30 minutes early, not take a break (40 minutes) only to be told i cannot go home 30 minutes before my finish time?
ANSWER: I WOULDN'T!!
And therein lies the problem. In this case Royal Mail will be losing 40 minutes per day, every day, per employee on delivery. Multiply by 90,000 delivery staff and that equates to 60,000 hours per day, every day. At 12 quid an hour?
Now, i know that not everyone comes in early or doesn't take a meal break. So, let's say this applies to 15,000 staff, 10,000 hours at 12 quid an hour. That's every day. 120 grand a day.

Well done Royal Mail bosses. I know what you're hoping for, but it ain't gonna happen!

There can't be. You keep on about the company losing £1 million per day, as does Thompson. Factor in the strikes, another £25 million per day, so, presently £175 million, including tomorrow. Which would equate to another 175 days of losing £1 million per day.
