This is the bit i like from the offer regarding Sunday working:
And to begin with, as we develop this new business for RM, there won't be much Sunday working, AND SO I CAN PROMISE YOU THIS, we will rely on volunteers.
PROMISE YOU???? The man should be on stage.
And this, regarding later finish times:
We understand that this can be a problem for some people, especially those with school-aged children, so we are going to put in place a process to understand individual needs, and have a range of family friendly options, with an earlier duty finish time, wherever that is operationally practical.
Okay Si. You must know what this process is, so tell us. NOW!
And this regarding later start times:
We have also further revised out planned start times, so that the last letter delivery times in the vast majority of offices will be before 5pm.
So later than before. Let's say 4.45pm last letter. That means a start time of 9.15am on a 7hr 30-minute day.
What a total load of garbage!
And regarding the extra 3.5% this year. It wasn't that long ago that there was no more money in the pot. Who posted that each 1% would cost the company £40 Million per year in people costs? Anger, was it you? That's £70 Million for the next 6 months. But there was no more cash. That's what we are constantly being told.
I can't wait for the 17th now. What are the chances that all of a sudden, despite IA, the company has had a stellar turn around.
Where else could the money have come from?
