And regarding tribunals. Non-payment of holiday pay overtime. I had a date to go to Croydon. The first in the country. It took a little over 2 months to get this date. Guess what happened? It was called off 3 days before the hearing. 3 months later everyone is getting paid holiday pay overtime. I was right, i won. Backed up of course by tens of thousands of employees who do overtime for RM.

What you don't post though, is that each and every striker has to be treated the same.

5 - The VR payment to stay in line with the MTSF agreement.
6 - Any other job losses through natural attrition.
7 - All office vacancies to be filled.

The fact that we were failing daily, long before any IA took place, means that your point of view is flawed.
The fact that vacancies have not been filled in my office contributes to this.
Yes, IA will clearly now affect this. But we have "the new posties" on board. We have had agency staff since early August, if i remember correctly. Why then, is mail still failing daily?
How odd, if the company cannot pay it's running costs, would it not be easier for Thompson "The Thicko" to at least address this issue. IA has cost the business hundreds of millions of pounds. If there was no IA, hundreds of millions of pounds to pay me and my mates!

1 - How many compulsory redundancies have there been?
2 - Have my t's and c's changed?
3 - Would you agree that the enforcement of a 2% pay rise by executive action was breaking the long standing legal agreements between RM and the CWU. Executive action that was taken BEFORE ANY INDUSTRIAL ACTION.

Some simple questions. I expect nothing more than a load of drivel in response. Culminating in ducks, canoes etc.

You keep banging on about being stuck in the 1970's, i have a feeling that you and many more on here think NOTHING has changed since then.
I don't doubt there is scope for savings, but RM have got this one all wrong.

How about this for a cunning idea.
I will give back my 2%, backdated, and will accept no pay rise this year or next. Then leave my t's and c's alone and re-pay all strike money lost.
If all management give back their enhanced pay increase in line with their new roles from this year and the next. Their bonuses this year and last year, gained through failure and normal attendance. If RM payback the money it has cost the company by giving VR to managers and then re-employing to fill the same vacancy but under a different title, from the past 2 years.

So, all the comments that i continue to read on here, streamlining the business, idle posties, get rid of the deadwood, etc; what you actually mean is f*ck the service that we try to provide. Make it absolute sh*t as long as profits roll in. F*ck the customer and the recipient. Isn't this what DW is trying to stop?

A little story for you from an office in my area from the weekend.
Agency staff who were meant to turn in on Saturday, didn't. This meant the failure of nearly 120 items that were due for delivery that day. What a great service.
When owner/drivers are brought in, won't the same thing happen? The very thing that DW is trying to avoid.
Didn't you raise the very same issue, about service, some weeks ago, about hospital appointments?
You can't have it both ways.
