Sick pay: I've had 2 weeks off with covid and 6 weeks off with a lung issue in 20 years. Not everyone takes the p*ss. And believe it or not, nobody likes a serial sickie!
We work 5-day weeks out of 6 working days.
The system you are referring to is called a wallington. Don't ask me why. The postie in effect works his rest day for free and accumulates each day as leave. Thereby facilitating 5 days leave in the 6th week.
And regarding frequency of delivery. How many uncovered duties in your local D.O. due to vacancies not being filled?
This may be the reason instead of militant posties..

What percentage of staff would you consider "deadwood"?
And does this statement cover management, who are paid to manage the "deadwood" and make sure they do actually work?

So, let's say 10 hours per week each @ 30 quid an hour (agency fees and staff).
That's nearly £3.5 Million pounds, per week!!!! Conservative figures off course.

There was always going to be mass redundancies. It just depended on the payment for these.
As you can see, RM are going back on yet another agreement. That doesn't bode well for the trust survey we are constantly being force fed.

The tracked items record keeping stopped over a year ago in my office. It was never accurate.
There used to be a dashboard with expected items coming through the door, but i don't know what happened to that.
What i do know, is that volumes are down.
We can all move freely this year. It was pandemonium last year.
I know that it can change, but let's see. With these new IA dates, will customers use other couriers? IMO, they already are.

My office is irrelevant. If i said Stockport Central, would that make you believe me? No!
Take my word for it. I reckon from visuals, that we are 50% down on parcels from last year, at this moment. That doesn't mean to say that traffic will not pick up. We do have up to 7 agency staff though. This alleviates the huge vacancies and loans to management.

Will make interesting reading.

As i have posted before, i have never seen volumes this low in my office.
If these recent results are meant to be bad, wait until February 2023.
Assuming of course, that a trading statement is released. I cannot find this year's one.

In my opinion, yes.
Why would you let an office run at 200 hours of vacancies plus loan to management for the best part of a year? Factor in the structural revisions and then the tabletop revisions which should have been completed by now, which are an exercise to reduce duties and therefore head count.

Theft of time is a sackable offence. If it is blatantly being abused, then i'm sure that any manager worth his or her salt, could prove this. I've mentioned outdoor visuals already. And i know they take place.
