This idea of being a kind of management consultancy to the worlds oil companies wanting to come into Mongolia is fascinating but I can imagine an early telephone conversation with a big oil company anywhere in the world

May i suggest that MB and MG concentrate for now on the present rather than the future get this LP sorted like now otherwise this company is going to look very stupid very quickly.

Maybe WOS has put his finger on something. Maybe this is a facilitator vehicle with the GoM to give it respectability to help foreign investors through the minefield of Mongolian red tape. After all it has only taken us three years to get the LP so MB and PM are experts at this. By the way MB exactly where is that LP we have? Have we lost it somewhere and trying to get a replacement.

Possibly but why would we need the government ministers there for that and why would we need to go all the way to IoM for that and why would not the major be involved in the meeting. It is this that i cannot work out why the IoM why not just any hotel room or conference room any where in the world.

My opinion this is a new enterprise from a new opportunity that has come up and involves partnership with GoM in a new ancillary field to oil and Gas. Might be with Renewables or it is O&G and a completely new field that needs developing the Govt want to maintain a closer working interest.

I agree with you WOS that there is something big but cannot work exactly what. You obviously appear to have done some research on this and power to your elbow for that. Are you able to share or just put off by all the negativity that surrounds anything positive on this board. Must admit i have been excited for the next week for the last 13 weeks and been disappointed although i do feel something is brewing but when and what i have no idea. And it would be nice to get a genuine idea as to what people expectation of share price over the next month or so assuming the LP lands but all we get are unrealistic images of £1 parties or scaremongers saying this will slip sub 2p. Letus get real it it going to do neither in the next two months unless something seriously comes through the wires. Where will SP be just before TD is achieved on the Raptors drill.

All aboard the 10p bus. This bus is about to depart bus stop 7 and next stop is No 8. When we arrive at bus stop 8 will depend on how many times we have to turn around to pick stragglers who missed the bus first time round. But please bear in mind this is at the will of the driver and at some point he will just carry straight on to No 8.

Bus stop 10 is the end of the line for this bus and we all change on to a bigger and faster more express bus that could easily miss out a number of stops. At bus stop 30 we all change again on to a super express bus this is for dizzy heights only and because it will travel so much faster there is that much more danger.

Since people highlighted this meeting in the IoM i have been wracking my few brains trying to work out what might be happening. And to be honest probably not much further along the line than most people here but thought it might be useful to summarise what we do know and what might be extrapolated from it.

Obviously this was not Matad board meeting. A they would not need to do that in the IoM and secondly we would not need to have senior members of the Mongolian government at hand. It could all be done over a coffee in some bar in outer Mongolia for all that anyone would care.

So why the senior members of Mongolia Government and why IoM in particular and not just the room at the Mongolian Embassy or Clariidges or whichever hotel they are all staying at. And then why have a senior financier from the IoM.

The reason this was in the IoM with a Stenographer but why fly over someone from Mongolia just to take notes if we needed notes taken we could have hired a Short hand typist on the IoM to do this and save the airfare. My opinion is the board member taking notes was very possibly our company secretary.

This leads me to conclude that this is a new company that is being set up possibly 50% owned by Mongolian Govt and ourselves. What it would be fore i am not sure. Heron and the Raptors come under our auspices as PM we will probably be doing a farm out on Heron when we get LP with DQE and may also be doing a Farm in for a portion of the Raptors so there is no need to hive these off.

Names were mentioned we renewable partners and if they were not at meeting I am pretty certain this is not to do with that.

Which means (IMHO) there is something else brewing under the surface that is big enough for the Govt to want an active stake in it and PM to conduct a meeting in the IoM as then signatures and real ones not just computerised digital signatures could be placed on record and the new entity set up very quickly ie immediately. This could be something completely new that might well add to an already impressive diverse resume for PM in or around Mongolia. That is once we get the LP and all of this makes me even more convinced the LP is very close at hand. MB might be very frustrating in his lack of communication but I think he is playing a long game here and his patience (and ours) is just about to pay off.

I have a feeling that we are not going to get an RNS on Tuesday and ;possibly Wednesday. My suspicion is that meeting with PM, MRPRAM and MB in the IoM is of major significance. I know it happened to coincide with Coronation and it appears the whole world is getting wrapped in this so is it coincidental that PM, MRPRAM and President of Mongolia are in the UK with MB at the same time. No. therefore i think there will be an announcement first either in Parliament or elsewhere and maybe the LP at the same time and that cannot be till all the main players are back in Mongolia. Just sit tight i have a feeling that this is building up to a crescendo far bigger than many on here suspected. I do admit that if we have not heard anything by Thursday it is very possible that this share will plummet again until the next set of rumours come through. IMO just hold tight this bumpy ride is just about to bumpier.

If govt bought in an equity stake in Mtad would not that most likely be through a placement directly and therefore more dilution. Or do you think they would be trying to do it through the market. Also come to think of it does not the government have one already indirectly through Petrovis. I thought they were partly owned by the MG

Bad Prophet you have been saying consistently now for a long time and to be fair you have been consistent. But before i plough another amount in to this share perhaps you could tell me because either you have not mentioned it or i have forgotten but what makes you so convinced we will not drill for any oil this year and there will be another cash raise. Genuine question because there do seem to be a lot of information going around that makes one think to the contrary but you i do not think have shown your evidence. So please let me know before tomorrow afternoon why i should hold fire on my purchase.

Please do not let the RNS land tomorrow morning Friday morning would be fine. I know it is a bit late but i am moving some of my shares over from outside an isa to inside and am waiting for the funds to clear. Tomorrow should be fine thank you and then you can release the RNS. I know the whole cabinet is not at coronation but if PM and. Mpram are out of country do you really think they would discuss before they know outcome of meeting in IoM.

There will be no news this week because everyone out of country for the coronation either officially or unofficially. I My guess is news next week hopefully but I am almost alway wrong.

I would not be at all surprised if the Mongolians are planning on setting up their own group of companies covering a variety of sins.

No i agree all supports the line that PM could become a major player in Mongolia and a major facilitator. Interesting times ahead but on another note is PM quoted on the Mongolian Stock Exchange. I gather they do have one and would have thought it would be a good way for the locals to have an active say in this.

So let us now project forward (obviously with assumptions). we have the LP and Velociraptor has come up trumps and so has the new blocks yet to be announced. With help of DQE we are producing Oil to be sent off via truck load to China and the Mongolian Refinery is beginning to take shape.
The first question is what now for Petro Matad. Assuming that Velociraptor looks like being ths same extraction price from the ground as Herron ie circa $15 per barrel which would make it a very large low cost high margin well that one of the majors would die for. So would we get sold on. But would MG agree or would they find a away of vetoing it by arranging for Petrovis to block any deal. Also would they want to be reliant China playing ball with their facilities and rely of the MG to complete refinery on time. So what do we become. Mid level kind of Tullow Oil split into three main divisions:
1) Exploiting and production of oil
2) Exploring and Appraisal of oil finds.
3) Renewables.
and i would include a fourth division and spread our wings maybe M&A or Mergers and Acquisitions.

If we do become a mid sized Oil Producer and Exploiter i do think the city will want MB running the show. The city are quite ruthless and although a lot of what has happened is not MB's fault he has hardly looked dynamic (and that is a large part of the game) and has in fact (imho) come over as being out of his depth and incapable at times. They will want a new CEO to run the whole show. MB if he finds oil in the Raptors plus the other blocks will have proved himself as an explorer with a throughly good record. No my opinion is that if these come off this time next year or less MB will have been shown the door or kicked sideways as MD of Oil Exploration and a new CEO brought in the city and we could well have a new raft of major player shareholders.
