It's doing well at the moment and may have further to go ? -----a "sector perform " from a broker today has tempered the gains . -----decided to take my profit @ 520 p this morning ----above most dma's at that level !! ----will be back in , i'm sure , but good profits are good profits and not to be sniffed at in this climate of uncertainty !!-------GLA.

been as high as 514.5 p today and almost sold again --fingers crossed for a close above 510 p but Ftse , Dax and Dow all looking weaker again ----GL.

cashed up or cashed out ?? ---they have to find the money now to pay for the DCI redemption -- SP doing very well --i'm back in from 500 p so keeping a close eye on it at the moment ---GL.

others will come in with explanaitions , but essentially they were the same as " corporate/retail bonds " issued in 2004 giving the company the right to redeem them in 2014 if they wished . ---these were issued by the company to raise cash at a particular rate of interest to the buyer ---we have ORB here for the issue of bonds but there are several platforms which investors can only partake in thru' their brokers ---most DCI's and Bonds that are redeemed like this were issued many years ago when their rate of return was high , sometimes 8% or higher and the company feels it does not or cannot pay that rate of return any longer ---so they have a built first redemption date on issue ---hope that helps ? ----------GL .

Quiet day for me today ,trading wise --bit fed up with it all really . The Dow is up and down like a fiddlers elbow and Ftse100 and Dax have dropped back below support again ? ---have had to turn my attentions to a bit of DIY today as the wife is extremely annoyed at having to throw away about £30-00 worth of flour, cereal, biscuits, rice, and sugar etc from one of the kitchen cupboards ---i have had to hoover it out, bleach it and seal all round inside with acrylic sealant !!! -----any guesses anyone as to the problem ??? --- your good ladies may have the answer esp. if you mention FLOUR in particular ? -----anyways going to be an expensive day at sainsburys tomorrow ( blast) --just as well i've just got a Sainsburys Bank Bonus credit card with 10 nectar points /pound for three months ----------------GL everyone for next weeks exciting episode of " how do i make enough money to give up all this sillyness" (lol) --------------

Yes, maybe , but it rose from 110p on run up and anticipation of interims today and then immediately fell back on touching the long term downtrend channel at 130 p -!! ------closed out my Talk Talk @ 295 p for a 25 p rise , happy with that for now ------GL.

Ladbokes in " terminal decline " still !! ---been back in Talk Talk from 270 p , target 297/300 p if it can get above 290 p first res. . ---failed at around 292.5 p this morning ( s/l @ 282 p now for profit ) ----GL.

Everything looking decidedly " glum " at the moment --Tomc, i would say the volitility is most definately still around !! ----been short the Dow since the break of 16600 --- will hedge me against the falls( hopefully ) over here we are going to see in the morning ----GLA .

Just out of DLG @ 279.5 p for a 12 p profit banked --insurers have all risen well today ?? ---will think about going back in on a close above 280/285 p -----banking good gains when i can at the moment just in case !! -----GL.

GL with IAG --slipped back at the moment , i see, from that 181 p level !! ----sold out of TUI this morning at 372 p --may go higher but very happy with 30 p rise banked in a couple of days . ---Dow staying above 16600 at the moment on the futures , Dax showing above 8900 ( needs to close above it) -----poor old Ftse100 can't get above 6400 but as long as it holds 6350 we''re in with a shot ----------GL.

15850 lows not 5850 (lol) --------

Dow closed over 16600 tonight -----quite a spectacular mini rally from the recent 5850 lows ---higher now or lower ??-----i've chased both the Dow and Dax up and now it's decision time again !! -------just took a quick look at IAG and i see your " quandry" --- had a good run up from recent lows !!-- i would like to see it close above the channel ( say 175 p -- or above the recent 185 p high perhaps) to go long --- alternatively go short at the channel ( 173 p ish ) with that 185 p as a s/l. ---as always JMO ---GL if you go in whichever way ----

Good Afternoon All ----well, chased the Dow up to 16500 for 77 points early this morning --back in now @ 16285---volatility still very evident and probably for a while longer yet -----sold out of all my stocks in profit ( aht, brit, av, dcg,iom, wg, ) new orders in for all -----tighter stops on everything else ---got in and out of RR for another 11 points ---Tomc :- got in early on TUI ( up a bit ) but DCG hasn't hit my buy-in level yet !!-----things could turn on a sixpence ,as they ,at the moment so prudence is the key word for me now . ---GLA.
