Along came China and spoiled the party ? ---All Dow ,Dax, and Ftse shorts closed out for some sizeable gains .--- orders in for just below todays low as my waters are telling me there may be more drops to come ?? ---no Index longs at the mo. so hope i don't regret that !! -------- GS , good luck with the Funds , but i'm afraid they won't be immune to the drops if they come ---perhaps best to pick non-uk equity Funds at the mo. ----GL.

I can see no conclusive reason for the Rolls Royce drop ?? shake -out perhaps , don't know but looking well worth a punt at current levels ----bounced a tad off that 960 p support from late feb. but if it tests it again and fails then 900 p is next stop !! ---oversold now tho' ---initial bounce to 990 p or even 1000 p ish may be due ----may have a punt but go in with a split trade to hedge any further drop towards 900 p ------GL.

Optimus , glad you're back in the "fray" with us ---I'm heavy short the Dow again now from 17098 and still have a few Dax and Ftse shorts still running .I did post that i thought the pain wasn't over yet !! . ---BONDS are not covered by the FSA compensation shemes so you have to take care in which ones you choose ? ---i check out the company's performance and the reason they need the money etc etc ---some like EROS i will just take a punt on -----no more than £5000 -00 in any one Bond , so i have a few at the moment (lol) ----the yield is not subject to tax as far as i'm aware but don't know about ISA Compatability ( would not have thought so , but may be wrong ? ) --------Sainsbury's has a thumbs up from a couple of Brokers today , may be more pain to come but at these levels Qatar or someone may eye up another bid , so i'm hanging on to mine for now , bit like my ITV stock . -----------GL. GS . ---- got in on Sports Direct @ 620 p this morning ( looking good at the mo. ) got a few more SFE , but holding off on the others at the mo . altho' will probably get some IOM and RGS today at some point -----GL ARMANI ----we went to LIDL and ALDI on saturday to check them out as never been to either before --bought from Pepsi Cola cheap and the wife got some cheap bacon but that's about it --we then went on to do our main shop at Sainsbury's ----Cheap discounters not to my good ladies taste i'm afraid ---but we haven't quite reached the heights of Waitrose at the moment (lol) ---------------GL.

Not much to inspire me on the Senior graph i'm afraid ---but Sports Direct may be getting a bounce from oversold very soon -- 680 p would be the target for the bounce , otherwise the downtrend looks to be still firmly in place -- recent broker forecasts look a little overdone ? ------ worth a punt i think GS for the 10% bounce !! -------GL.

None of them where actually my choice ---just a few from this weeks Shares Magazine and from The Naked Trader ---- may take a punt on a couple of the ones likely too show a bit of a bounce ( RGS and CPR ) ---SFE probably grab a few more for the long -haul . --IOM worth tucking a few away for another bid ?---- Robbie Burns has bought into several of them and i'm not about to argue with his track record !!-------GL.

RGS (Regenersis ) -- drop well overdone , ? 3. IOM (Iomart) ---- recent bid failure , cheap now esp. if another bid comes in sometime down the road ? 4. PETS (Pets at Home ) --recent IPO proved a failure but solid prospects and low SP ? Speculative Now :- 5. IEH ( Intelligent Energy Holdings ) -- ??? 6. EPO (Earthport ) ---possible revenue doubler with 61 p target ? 7. CPR ( Carpetright )--,or as Robbie Burns would say " carpet****e " (lol) --lower to come but bounce very likely short-term . Going into Corporate Bonds a bit more at the moment on ORB ---just put an order in for the latest one , Eros International Plc 6.5% 2021 . It's an Indian film making company de-listed from AIM recently and listed on the NASDAQ now --all these Bollywood types seem to do well !! my Funds haven't performed well recently but as you say will probably come into their own over the next 6 months --stock market crashes permitting (lol) --closed a few of my Dow , Dax and Ftse shorts so extremely happy with results from those --bit of a bounce on friday world wide ( Dax and Ftse lagging a bit at the mo.) IMG short doing well ( good trading stock this one , have been long,short,long ,short again--getting dizzy (lol) few other shorts to keep a close eye on !!! ---may do the same as you have done and close out on a lot of my stocks in favour of Bonds, P2P lending and a few choice Funds ---haven't made my mind up quite !! ------problem is markets ( esp. Dow) are still in Bullish Uptrends but thereby hangs the Danger for the Trader / Investor ----further they go up now then Sharper the drop within a Consolidation / Pull-back before you get to the Bear Trendline ( sucks a lot in without realising the danger )---if that all makes sense to anyone but me (lol) ---- Interesting and Worrying times in equal measure i would submit ---especially if we get boots on the ground anytime soon in Iraq ---Catalyst for big consolidation that one if ever there was ? ----GL ---

Strangely it hasn't changed that much at all !! OPTIMUS , sorry to hear you had a few bad "calls" --been a bit of a b---ch on the markets i have to agree ------i have never had so many shorts running as i have now ---have been heavily short the Dow,Dax, and Ftse for a couple of days and short loads of stocks !!--not too bothered about banking Index shorts , just need to see them in place , as i suspect this drop is not done with just yet ?
